Leap Before You Think
is a Danny Phantom and Batman crossover story. The premise is that Danny and Damian Wayne are twin brothers, separated years ago when Danny's first mission went wrong, leading to Jazz finding him and him being adopted into the Fentons. Fast forward to the present, with Jazz, Sam, and Tucker all out of town for the first time since the accident, and Danny finds out that Damian is alive and with Bruce Wayne in Gotham, so he immediately rushes to meet him. At the same time, Damian runs into Sam at a gala and finds out that Danny is alive, and enlists Jason in heading to Amity to find him...
- Covered in Scars: Dany has a large number of scars, both from his time with the League of Assassins (and getting away from them), and from his tenure as Phantom.
- Crossover Relatives: Danny and Damian Wayne turn out to be twins in this universe, separated years ago, after which Jazz found Danny, leading to the Fentons adopting him.
- Identical Twin ID Tag: Besides Danny’s scars, the most obvious physical difference between him and Damian is that the former has blue eyes in human form and the latter green.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: The Fentons are working on a new weapon in the first few chapters that turns out to be a harpoon, which Danny finds out painfully while trying to rescue Cujo from them.
- Missed Him by That Much: Danny and Damian both discover that the other is alive at about the same time, and each immediately heads to the other’s location, inadvertently switching places.
- Mistaken Identity: When he first sees Damian at the Wayne gala, Vlad initially assumes that he's Danny, grabbing his arm hard.
