- It's All My Fault: Charlie believes all the problems happening to his family is due to him being present, as he sent his father on a trip where he got a cut that lead to blood poisoning and was on the phone with his brother when Don was attacked with a bat.
- Trauma Conga Line: Charlie first survives an accident where a friend of his slowly dies, then he has to deal with both his father and Larry getting sick, Don getting attacked with a bat to the head, leaving him a head injury, before Alan finally dies from blood poisoning.
