- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: After Blake's final gambit in their fight has Adam defeated and heavily injured, he can only hatefully and exhaustedly ask her what she even sees in Yang. Blake, after remembering what she used to see in him and what she now sees in Yang, stabs Gambol Shroud between his ribs, and replies "A future".
- Wrecked Weapon: In her fight against Adam, Blake's borderline suicidal gambit of overloading Gambol Shroud with mixed dust creates an explosion that destroys both it and Wilt and Blush, with many shards of the latter being buried in its wielders body. Gambol Shroud is eventually repaired in Chapter 9, with Blake and Yang fixing the weapon at Signal Academy's forges before going to Mistral.
