Dead Equestria is a fanfic written by Writer Rhyme and published in February 17 2020 by Crystal_Wishes. The story follows Thunderlane determined to look for his missing brother, Rumble while trying to survive along with a small of survivors led by Amethyst Star. The story can be read here
Dead Equestria provides examples of:
- All Just a Dream: Most of the chapter 1 took place when Thunderlane was having a nightmare. It turns out he was actually in a hospital.
- Devoured by the Horde: A survivor got out of his house shortly before being devoured by a group.
- Foreshadowing : Cheerilee was bitten sometime during chapter 2 before she made an appearance as a zombie in chapter 4
- Killed Offscreen: An unnamed Cadet is killed by accident in chapter 2 while Cherilee died, and turned into a zombie sometime during chapter 3 or 4.
- Spell My Name With An S: Blossom Flower is repeatedly called Blossom Heart.
- What Happened to the Mouse?:
- Spitfire, The Wonderbolts, Sweet Tomato, and the Main 6 (Except Pinkie Pie) only appeared in chapter 2. They were never seen in the later chapters
- Thunderlane witnesses a survivor being chased by zombies while waiting for Amethyst to come back. The unnamed survivor is never seen again.
- Zombie Fic: The story took place during the zombie apocalypse.
- Zombie Apocalypse: The story took place after Ponyville was overrun by zombies.
