Nnamdi Asomugha (born July 6, 1981) is an American footballer-turned-actor and producer of Nigerian Igbo descent. He played as a cornerback for the California Golden Bears in college before going on to play for the Oakland Raiders, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the San Francisco 49ers. Before his retirement from the NFL in 2013, he began acting with small parts on Fire with Fire and Friday Night Lights. He broke out as an actor with a lead role in Crown Heights, which he also produced.
Asomugha is married to fellow actor Kerry Washington, with whom he has two children.
