Imagic was a video game company that published games in the early 1980s. Like its competitor Activision, Imagic consisted of former Atari employees who wanted recognition for their work. Unlike Activision until late 1982, Imagic developed games for both the Atari 2600 and the Intellivision right from the start, with their corporate tagline being "Designed By Experts For Experts". Eventually they expanded their line of supported systems to include the ColecoVision and the Odyssey² as well as various popular home computers. Unfortunately, the company couldn't change with the times, and was one of the victims of The Great Video Game Crash of 1983. Activision eventually accumulated the company's assets as well as its game library in the late 1980s.
