Imagic was a video game company that published games in the early 1980s. Like its competitor Activision, Imagic consisted of former Atari employees who wanted recognition for their work. Unlike Activision until late 1982, Imagic developed games for both the UsefulNotes/{{Atari 2600}} and the UsefulNotes/{{Intellivision}} right from the start, with their corporate tagline being "Designed By Experts For Experts". Eventually they expanded their line of supported systems to include the UsefulNotes/{{ColecoVision}} and the UsefulNotes/{{Odyssey 2}} as well as various popular home computers. Unfortunately, the company couldn't change with the times, and was one of the victims of UsefulNotes/TheGreatVideoGameCrashOf1983. Creator/{{Activision}} eventually accumulated the company's assets as well as its game library in the late 1980s.
