Christopher Winton Beeny (7th July 1941 - 3rd January 2020) was a British actor and dancer who is best known for his roles in Upstairs Downstairs, In Loving Memory, and in Last of the Summer Wine.

Starting out as a child actor, his first screen role was in the movie The Long Memory and he also appeared in the first British TV soap, The Grove Family. However, he didn't gain popularity until he appeared in the period drama Upstairs Downstairs as the footman Edward Barnes. From there, he co-starred with Thora Hird as Billy in the undertakers sitcom In Loving Memory.

On top of his many theatre performances and appearances in other TV shows, he also made a guest appearance as the repo man Herman Teesdale (who he eventually renamed himself as Morton Beemish) in Last of the Summer Wine, which he repeated several times before finally becoming a regular in 2009.

He died in his home on the 3rd of January 2020 aged 78.
