Alberto Vázquez Rico (born October 13th, 1980) is a Spanish (Galician) illustrator, animator, character designer and filmmaker. A graduate of the University of Valenci, he is a co-founder and member of the Spanish comic collective "Polaqia", in addition to being a drummer for the band Mano de Obra.
He's probably best known for his films Birdboy The Forgotten Children and Unicorn Wars, the most recent Trope Codifiers for Mature Animal Story. Both films were based on his short films, Birdboy and Unicorn Blood, respectively.
Presently, he's working on an adaptation of his third short film, Decorado.
