DC Vs. Vampires: World War V is an upcoming 2024 Superhero Horror DC Comics series published under the revived Elseworlds imprint. It's a sequel to the original DC vs. Vampires series.
Six months after the ending of the first series, in which the remaining superheroes managed to restore sunlight to the world, as a new Ice Age dawns, both humanity and vampires face a literal and figurative cold war. However, returning heroes and battles for the vampire throne threaten to heat things back up...
The series consists of a 12-issue maxiseries and will start publishing in August 2024.
Pre-release material for the series contains examples of:
- Snow Means Death: While Supergirl managed to bring back sunlight at the end of the original series, after over a year of permanent darkness, the planet is facing a second Ice Age.
- Time Skip: A short one, the series starts six months after the original's ending, when the remaining superheroes managed to bring the Sun back.
