Main Characters

Protagonist

The protagonist of the game.

All of the Other Reindeer: The other kids at Yuzu's school viciously bully her because they think she's possessed by ghosts.
Amnesiac Hero: Yuzu can recall her name and remembers her cat Mugi, but has trouble recalling anything else. As her memories are the key to lifting her curse, the entire crux of the game is to regain her memories. Not helping is the fact that she's subconsciously suppressing some of her memories.
Canon Name: After choosing her appearance upon starting a new save file, the player is prompted to name the girl. Though the character can name her anything within the character limit, the name already typed in is Yuzu, suggesting that Yuzu is the protagonist's canon name.
Forced Transformation: As Yuzu's curse progresses, her body begins to transform. Because the curse came from a bird spirit, Yuzu's hair becomes more disheveled and feather-like. Kotori, who is unable to be cured, gains a wing and talons in place of her arm and leg and grows tail feathers.
Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Yuzu is the heroine's Canon Name, but the game gives players the option to name her however they like.

The Girl In Your Memories

A mysterious older girl that you can't seem to remember. Has the same exact name as the Human-Faced Bird spirit.

This character is a Walking Spoiler.

Missing Mom: Her parents are notably not present in any of her scenes. It is revealed that she was searching for her mother, who was not the best, yet she was still worried and went to look for her. She finds her dead in the Spirit Forest, leading to her being cursed herself.
Mysterious Waif: The "Mysterious Girl" as she is called by the game. An older girl who seems to know Yuzu, helps her escape the forest, and tells her how to lift her curse. Almost every single memory Yuzu regains has the Mysterious Girl involved in some way. Her name is Kotori and she's an older sister figure to Yuzu who was looking for her mother. In the process of trying to find her mother, Kotori ends up cursed and is unable to lift it. She is the one who teaches Yuzu how to protect herself from spirits.
Walking Spoiler: Most of the information surrounding her relates to the protagonist's memories that she recalls throughout the game, all of which especially the true memories are spoilers of varying magnitude

Human-Faced Bird

The bird spirit that haunts the protagonist's town. Has the same exact name as the mysterious girl.

Mr. Lanky

A gangly, faceless spirit wielding a scythe and wearing a suit that haunts the protagonist's school at night.

Captain Ersatz: Mr. Lanky is one to Slender Man. From the bald head to the facelessness and the suit to even the tentacles, he very much is a Captain Ersatz of the famous internet creepypasta spirit.
