The Director

The Director
The literal director of the TV show (and helping to finance it), and the one to call (most of) the Housemates together for it. The three adjectives used to describe him are 'singular, selfish, and sassy'. He doesn't actually care all that much about the actual contestants.

  • Asshole Victim: When Royce punches him before the second season starts, Warlock asks why and Royce responds,
Royce: Because he's an idiot and he makes me angry.
Warlock: Hahaha! If that was a good reason we all would have already punched him!
  • Jerkass

Royce Brian Dallan Mcgubber/Clyde

Clyde - Season 2
The actor who helps introduce the first season of Housemates. He has a peppy and cheerful onscreen personality, but is considerably less cheery offscreen. During the first season he has a pair of animal ears and a tail. They are extremely realistic to the point of being mistaken for real most of the time, but turn out to be fake in the second season, where he appears without them. He also gains a scar that covers his right cheek.

  • Animal-Eared Headband: Part of his appearance for the first season of Housemates.
  • Money, Dear Boy: It' s revealed before the second season that Royce only joined the crew to pay back a debt he owed to the channel. However, it was already known for a while that he hated his job.

Mary Heim

Mary
She's the eyes inside the house. She helps maintain the cameras inside, amongst a variety of other chores, and helps lost Housemates find their matches. During the first season she has a cat called Mister, but no one is quite sure what happened to him.

  • French Maid Outfit: Not a sexual version, but she hates it anyways.
  • Innocent Bystander: Mary was not supposed to get caught up in the dangerous aspects of the show. Tessa did not care.

Kedde Ramirez

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/housemates__kedde_ramirez__by_mexicanmanatee_d6udtfn.jpg
Kedde
The producer of the second season. He cares more about the wellbeing of the cast more than the Director does, and likes to check in on them. He cares about his show too, though, and is willing to take drastic measures if he needs to. However, no one is quite sure why he decided to do the program other than 'to offer entertainment'. Not to mention, he's the only person who's ever been able to open the door to the house... from the inside.

Characters listed here are not official contestants, but nevertheless show up enough to have some impact/relevance to the plot

Elsie and Tessa Chapel

The Twins
The Chapel twins are the two Amon ghosts causing all the fuss in the first season. They're twin sisters with a feud against each other, and neither is willing to stop until the other is gone.

  • Always Identical Twins
  • Cain and Abel: They hate each other. Their creator described their relationship as an "everlasting circle of 'screw you sista.'"
  • Coordinated Clothes: Not completely identical, but close enough.
  • Evil Twin: Parodied - Arguably Tessa, since she is insane, killed her sister, and has been possessing everyone in the house one at a time to prolong her 'life', but Elsie isn't exactly a paragon of virtue either. Both of them cause many problems for the contestants due to their hatred of each other, and one could say that Elsie is also evil due to the lengths she went to to destroy Tessa.

Hell Inspector Asa Shakespeare

Inspector Shakespeare
A police officer from a Hell City, he makes an agreement with the Director - rescue the crew members trapped in the house, and then arrest Scarecrow, who is an escaped convict. He is killed by Tessa before he can complete either task, but gives the clues and tools needed for the Housemates to solve the mystery of the house and rescue themselves.

Lucinda Glass

A resident of a Hell City and photographer, Glass wandered into the house sometime before the first season to take pictures and, as usual, never reemerged. She is a friend of one of the contestants, and a repeat victim of Tessa. She is the person Tessa is trapped in using the corrective, and dies, presumably killed fighting Scarecrow, when Elsie demands her death to ensure Tessa cannot return.
