- Fragile Speedster: Vanguards have the best mobility out of all units, but they have short attack range and little to no survivability, so you need to leverage their superior speed to outflank enemies.
Charolic
Once a target of one of the Commander's bounties, Charolic was offered a place in their crew when she was captured by them instead, leading to her becoming one of the earliest MCV Elmo crew members.
- Blood Knight: Charolic values strength and always eager to prove hers, to the point of trash talking enemies that she thinks aren't strong enough.
- Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: When not slicing up enemies, Charolic usually serves as a translator for Nemesis.
- Flash Step: Her second skill performs a powerful slash before teleporting back to her original location.
- Meaningful Name: Charolic can be seen as a combination of "char" (hinting at her fiery personality) and "krolik", the Russian word for rabbit.
- Personality Powers: She's aggressive and short-tempered, fitting for the fire element present in many of her skills.
- Playboy Bunny: Her default outfit is an armored, sleeveless leotard with bunny-ear shaped headgear.
- Starter Mon: She is provided for free as part of the gacha tutorial, so long the player doesn't click skip.
Daiyan
- Combat Hand Fan: Daiyan tosses her fan as her first skill or when performing interception fire.
- Critical Hit Class: Not unlike like her appearance in Neural Cloud, her kit revolves around obtaining Tuning stacks which buffs her critical hit chance and damage. Here, she trades the team-buffing aspect of her previous incarnation for incredible mobility and close-range damage.
Vepley
A former idol of the URNC's Cultural Development Program for Yellow Zone settlements, Vepley joined the Elmo's crew at some point in the story.
