Team Shirasagi
Shirasagi Tomu (白鷺 杜夢) is the protagonist of the Gamble Fish series. He is a die-hard gambler and the last descendant of the Shirasagi family. Having crushed two previous schools, Tomu comes to Shishidou Academy to complete a personal mission.

Mizuhara Kazuki is the class rep and first friend Tomu makes upon entering Shishidou Academy. A diminutive student, Mizuhara follows and supports Tomu in all of his gamble endeavors.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Usually referred to as "Mushroom", "Mushroom-sempai", or "Mushroomhead", much to Mizuhara's annoyance.
Kimura Natsumi is the first female supporter of Tomu, willing to follow him anywhere out of her love and devotion to him. She is also known as the Idol of Shishidou.
- The Load: She only has one real notable contribution to the gamble and is usually ended up being the first capture victim.
Tsukiyono Yuka is a talented stage magician and the first real opponent against Tomu. After losing to him in blackjack, Yuka became a supporter of Tomu in his mission.
- The Lancer: She has the most screentime out of Tomu's harem and is usually the one who thinks of or explain tricks and deception to the other team members (and the audience) beside Tomu
Shishidou Mika is the great granddaughter of the school's headmaster and a pro tennis player. She was first antagonistic towards Tomu due to his insolence to her as well as his opposition towards Shishidou Academy, but despite that, fate always seem to draw them together.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: Mizuhara is turn on when he saw her hugging Asahino.
Asahina Rio is a billiards prodigy and the best friend of Mika. She bears a grudge against the Shirasagi Clan and plans to take down Tomu for being the latest heir to the Shirasagi name.
Hanasaki Mayo is the leader of the Abidani Seminar in the dice games who is matched up against Tomu in a death match. A girl with a supernatural aura and a talent for botany, she is deemed a dangerous student.
Emily Dawn is an American heiress to a military company who transfers to Shishidou Academy just to meet Tomu due to being intrigued by him. She is also inadvertently at odds with Mika.
Shishidou Academy
Abidani is the demonic-looking dean of Shishidou Academy and the main antagonist. He is a mad genius who claims to know every trick in and out of the book, making him one of the elite gamblers on Earth.
- Ax-Crazy: He really is that insane.
- Go Mad from the Revelation: He proved P=NP, which meant he could destroy all cybersecurity and play god with the Earth, and the subsequent death spiral (and resulting suicidal thrill-seeking with Clan Shishidou) over his obsession with the potential consequences turned him into the crazy goblin we see him as now.
