Ivory Plains Chapter / Part I

Protagonist

The hero of the Ivory Plains saga. dies in World's End.

• No Name Given
• The Hero Dies: Challenges his brother to a duel but suffers a wound and bleeds out to death as he becomes rendered powerless and watches Dragonland get taken over by the orcs, goblins, and the entire armies of darkness.
• Tragic Hero: Dies and gives himself up to his fate and leaves the future of Dragonland to the future successor.

(The) Dragonlord

Also called the Fearsome Lord of the Mithril Mountains and the King of Dragons. It is unclear whether he is a dragon or simply half-dragon, as it is indirectly stated.

Protagonist's Brother

The brother of the protagonist of the Ivory Plains chapter, he is killed in the infamous nightraid known as the Battle of the Ivory Plains.

• Not Blood Siblings: As he dies he reveals to the protagonist that they are not really related, and that he is the born of a dragon.
• No Name Given: Just like everyone in the Ivory Plains chapter.

Hero's Beloved

The protagonist's beloved. Whether it is his love-interest or his wife, is unclear. She is not mentioned of after "A Last Farewell", her only appearance.

• Action Girlfriend: Begs the protagonist to either stay with her or let her come with him. She doesn't come with him.

Orcish Chieftain

The leader of the orcs, leads the orcish march and the nightraid advantage during the Battle of the Ivory Plains.

• Blood Lust: Says it all in "The Orcish March"
  "In our veins runs a burning blood which only the killing can quench! Thirst for death guides our way...."
• Shout-Out: "Throne of Bones" is a shoutout to one of his lines.
  "I shall erect my throne upon a mountain of their bones"
  • In Under the Grey Banner, Gargoth gives a shoutout to the Orchish Chieftain, as well as the song he is from.
  "Then oh my children we shall drink their blood!" - The Orcish March
  "Fueled by cries and scent of slaughter, fall before the orcish march! Now our armies will rend flesh from bone. Throne of bones, its lord has spoken, foul beasts take all that remain. Now my children we shall drink their blood!" - Under the Grey Banner

The Dark Prince

The Big Bad of the Ivory Plains chapter. Also called the Leader of the Dark Hordes, the Dweller of the Night, the Destructor of Light. He is the protagonist's actual blood-brother. He's believed to be based off of Akron from Rhapsody of Fire.

• Big Bad: He's called the Dark Prince for a reason.
• Evil Laugh: The protagonist finds him on a throne made of the corpses of his allies, laughing maniacally.

The Holy War chapter / Part II

Protagonist

• Past-Life Memories: In The Return to the Ivory Plains
• Reincarnation

The Elves

The race of people who live. Dies in an avalanche near the end of the saga.

• Archer Archetype: The causal choice of weapon for the elves.
• Not a Game: In 'Calm Before the Storm' the protagonist notices the dwarves' and humans' drinking and partying and excited for the battle but notices that the elves were being more serious about the situation.

Many of the young among us had eagerly awaited this journey,as they saw it as a chance to prove their wits and experience great adventures, to venture where their grandfathers would not even havedreamed to set their foot.

The Dwarves

A race of norsish people who dwell in the Dwarven Mines within the Mithril Mountains.

• Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Dwarves (by usual culture) are short but not to be trifled with to an extent.

(The) Dark Lord

The Big Bad of Holy War.
