    Penelope

Fuuks

The owner of a shop in Souvenir Street.
  • Bumbling Dad: He is completely incapable of managing his three children without his wife.
  • Manchild: He is very playful and naive, or at least pretends to be so.
    The Other Zhangle
A Theme Park Version of the Middle Ages which may or may not be an actual VR theme park.

Fu-fu

The court jester. He may or may not be Fuuks.
  • Sad Clown: His job is to make the courtiers laugh, but off-duty he is very weary and cynical.

Queen Stepmother Isabella

The king's young stepmother. She may or may not be Svetlana.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Though the commons love her, she is a rare heroic example of the trope at court. Her kindness towards the lower classes irritates the king and courtiers, but they don't dare do anything to her because she is the previous king's widow.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: She is strikingly beautiful (it's one of the reasons for her popularity), which is a surprise for Wrong Genre Savvy guests who expect the queen stepmother to be old and ugly.
  • Modest Royalty: She cooks her meals herself, though in her case it's less about modesty and more about avoiding getting poisoned.
  • Universally Beloved Leader: She is the only one of the court who is absolutely adored by the commons, and even her enemies don't dare to kill her.

Savage

A space pirate whom the characters encounter on Penelope.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Ironically, what is apparently a genuine act of kindness on his part (giving Pashka a fur cap) ends up foiling his plans, because Arkasha recognizes the fur as belonging to the horned dogs.
  • Morality Pet: He is genuinely fond of Pashka, at one point saving his life from a giant snake (even though there are no witnesses, except Penelope herself, but he doesn't know it, and he could have let him die, considering Pashka, with his endless curiosity, is a bother to his plans). When he offers Pashka to go with him, it seems he genuinely wants to adopt the boy, and he only decides to kidnap and use him as a human shield when he sees he is found out.
  • Noble Savage: He exploits the image, claiming to live in harmony with nature. However, he is anything but, being a poacher and a robber.
  • Obviously Evil: Played with. Alice and Svetlana often sense something off about him, however, he is usually charming and friendly, so they don't have anything against him beyond the vaguest of suspicions. Meanwhile, Pashka and Natasha are entirely taken in.

Mmmm

A Brastak who allies himself with the space pirates.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He is red-eyed, which on Brastak means a truly rotten nature. He was one of the first traitors to join the pirates.
    Spoiler Character
