Awesome / Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid

• Mirei saving Mamori from being raped at the end of episode 2, by jumping through a stain glass window, wordlessly delivering a kick to the would-be rapist's gut, and driving with Mamori in possibly the most awesome kiss scene yet. Then it's followed by Mirei escaping the academy, only stopping to tell Ange, and Charlotte she can't bother fighting them, she promised (with the implication it would have been a Curb-Stomp Battle on her part). The entire scene is accompanied by an kickass instrumental piece.
• "Heelhold" Driving Mamori with just a single kiss was the epitome of awesome... until episode 8.
• Most of episode 8 is, but Mamori evolving and being used to take down the artificial Arm by releasing the strongest Valkyrie Effect ever recorded was truly phenomenal.
• Mamori in episode 10, non-stop. While Mirei was struggling against Kazumi, Mamori managed to rescue Hibiki and trounce an Arms equipped Ange, alone and bare-handed, and Ange had two allies (also equipped with Arms) backing her up! Then after teaming up with Mirei, they trounced all three in a single blow.
• Episode 11, Meifong stops Momoka's Wave-Motion Gun saving the lives of Mirei, Lady Lady, Kasumi, and Hibiki (who then immediately goes into a panic attack).
  • This gets topped shortly afterward by Lady Lady "putting on a show." With Mirei riding them, they fuse into a flying bike and take down Charlotte and the unnamed "Soldier" operative. It's just as awesome as it sounds.
• Episode 12 gives every character a moment to shine:
  • Despite how abominable Momoka's actions were to get Mamori's arm form, you can't help but be impressed at the absolute mastery she shows with it.
  • Hibiki finally gets over her traumas and willingly accepts to fight alongside Kasumi against the SOLDIERS. It also doubles as Heartwarming Moments.
  • Kasumi armed with Hibiki's arms form not only pulls a Big Damn Heroes moment saving Mirei in the last second, but she's also more than a match for Momoka.
  • Despite seemingly being drained by their fight on Episode 11, Lady Lady joins the fight against Momoka and prove themselves crucial on the good guys' victory.
  • Just like Lady Lady, Meifong's arm becomes a crucial asset on the fight against Momoka
  • Momoka is driven to a corner by the combined efforts of everyone, what does Momoka? She ABSORBS all the foes Mirei and Mamori defeated trough the series to boost Mamori's arm form. With this boost she easily turns the odds her favor. She then absorbs the heroes, repels an orbital strike like is nothing and flies into outer space to destroy a satellite.
  • Everyone is being mentally tortured inside Mamori's arms form but Mirei is able to free herself using just her iron will and love for Mamori She then proceeds to rescue Mamori from Momoka's clutches, freeing everyone else in the process.
  • Mirei and Mamori love for each other allows them to unlock the perfect form of the Valkyrie Effect, the Valkyrie Drive With this newfound power they not only defeat Momoka, but they also cure everyone in the island (aside of Lady Lady and themselves) from the Armed Virus.
