• In that same episode, Boss kicks some serious ass in Boss Borot; helping the scientists escape, and allowing Kouji to get to Mazinkaiser.
  • In the movie, the tone is grim, and all the battles are loses for the heroes, with only one of them being close draw. Then, in one of the darkest moments, Boss, the eternal comic relief comes to the rescue. After Boss joined the fight, the tone is never again that somber, hope is rekindled, and he manages the first true, complete victory for the heroes, defeating one of the monsters (Duke Gorgon) without any loss from his side. All with a robot literally made of junk!
