Season 1
- In episode 10 Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang manage to trick their serial killer who attacked Xu Shanshan. They do this by having Cheng Xiaoshi dive into the photo of Shanshan to await the attack with Lu Guang directing him back at the studio. Seemingly unbeknownst to him, the killer has arrived at the studio that he saw in Shanshan's photo and enters to look for his "friend". Simultaneously when the killer goes into the photo room, Lu Guang locks him inside while Cheng Xiaoshi as Shanshan blocks the attack. He then tells the killer he already knows his moves and is speaking through Shanshan, adding that they should play a game. He will get a photo clue at 10 am on where to find him, and the killer asks if he "wins" will Cheng Xiaoshi be his friend. Cheng Xiaoshi agrees only if he promises not to do any harm to Xu Shanshan and he wouldn't notify the police. As Cheng Xiaoshi leaves the dive and appears in front of the killer inside the locked room.Cheng Xiaoshi: This game... is over!
Season 2
- From a single throwaway line, Cheng Xiaoshi is able to deduce that the Red-Eyed diver's powers also require using photos, and take precautions to remove the few photos of them online.
- Though Xiao Ma initially has the upper hand due to being a much stronger and more skilled fighter, Cheng Xiaoshi and Qiao Ling are able to take him down, and the latter especially gets a few good hits in, even grabbing an empty IV pole to use as an improvised weapon.
- Master Siwen, Ouyang, and Ouyang's father intervening in the hospital. The former introduces their presence by casually clearing his throat, and when we see their faces they're wearing the Triple Star Warriors sentai masks. They proceed to absolutely crush Xiao Ma and his minions, easily fighting them to a retreat. (Granted, this doesn't really have much impact on Qian Jin's plans, but it's still very impressive.)
- The mild Gambit Pileup surrounding the hostage exchange, which plays out in a non-chronological order to let the tricks surprise the audience:
- First, there's Lu Guang's scheme to get to the riverside confrontation in the first place - via leaving a photo clue, he essentially gets Cheng Xiaoshi (who's a better fighter) to get to fight Li Tianchen twice over, though due to the latter's specific abilities it doesn't work out.
- Next, because they failed to get their intended target, Qian Jin quickly devises a plan to ensure that Xiao Li can't provide any proper backup by arranging the exchange in an incredibly short timeframe.
- Cheng Xiaoshi et al. seem to have gotten around the obvious trap by making unusual use of his dive powers, but then Li Tianchen reveals that he hid a tracker in the cravat of the costume he made Cheng Xiaoshi wear, allowing Xiao Ma to ambush him.
