• Hyeon's reaction to the smoke snakes: rather than run, hide, or help others like everyone else, he instead charges straight at the fog, procuring a fire extinguisher along the way so he can leap up and smack it down on the snakes. The most impressive part is that it works, and the snakes are temporarily held back.
• After being wrongfully accused of destroying the auditorium, Finn goes into an elaborate speech that breaks down the entire motivation for Shooter's accusation and exposes it for how wrong it is. Shooter gets so riled that he expels Finn on the spot.
• Travers first meeting with Daigo's gang, where she manipulates them into getting in her car, easily incapacitates Melissa, and intimidates them all into following her orders.
• When she discovers that Daigo has created a monster and is trying to kill her friends with it, Zia sprints all the way to his location, tackles him, and attacks his monster so ferociously with her telepathy that its brain explodes.
