Age of Dragons

    Origin of the Dragon
  • Jerath and Loghain rallying the alienage elves, with Loghain Mac Tir, former regent and legendary general, unhesitatingly following an elf into the fray.
  • Saitada simultaneously crowning her brother and stealing every bit of his thunder.
  • Brehan beating the snot out of Zathrian.

    Awakening of the Dragon
  • Jerath decides to trust Loghain to hold the Vigil so that he can save Amaranthine. He does this, kills the Mother, and still returns in time to pull a Big Damn Heroes moment at the Vigil.

    Side Trips
  • Brehan calling Divine Justinia out over what happened at Halamshiral.
  • Brehan proves Good Is Not Nice by dosing wine with darkspawn blood. Since he's immune to the taint, he can drink to prove it is 'safe'.
  • Lenore and her crew break into Aeonar.
  • Brosca, a newly minted Paragon, throws tradition to the wind and starts his house on the surface.

    Hunting the Sky
  • If it weren't for Keenan's Heroic Sacrifice , the world could have faced a Breach a few years before the events at the Temple of Sacred Ashes. One without Solas around to manipulate things.

    Order of the Broken Dragon
  • Jerath and his crew quietly keeping the world safe. If Solas hadn't woken and gotten stupid, they could have pulled it off.
  • Jerath promised not to draw weapons on the Qunari. So when one attacks he stabs it to death with its own horns
  • Vigilance deciding to have a few words with Justice
  • Marquise Elrundil sees through Carver and Morrigan in about three seconds. Rather than turn them in to the divine, he keeps his mouth shut and aids the Order.
  • Jerath Finding the orb Skyhunter left for him
  • The Inquisitor left Loghain in the Fade. Jerath goes back in and gets him.
  • Taking out the Architect with bombs, mirrors, and a big lake.

    Rise of the Champion
  • Hawke is good natured, jovial, and snarky. Right up until you threaten someone he loves, then he demonstrates exactly why he's effectively Kirkwall's standing army.

    Inquisition of the Dragon
  • Ruya managing to achieve a measure of peace between templars and mages.

    Bloodlines of the Dragon
  • It takes Leandra all of three seconds to prove to everyone exactly whose daughter she is. Carver's pride is obvious to everyone.
  • Tisallan sums up his own characterization with a single well dropped F-bomb.
Fuck Arlathan. I want a better world.
  • The dozen or so members of the second generation decide to declare war on Tevinter. At the point Solas decides to get involved, the kids are quite clearly winning.
  • Kieran quite clearly inherited his ability to make an entrance from his grandmother, Flemeth
  • Carver proves able to order a Physical God to go to his room
  • Three sentinels versus a Badass Normal. Jerath Gilmore takes them down before Duncan can get to his bow.
  • Salla's first shapeshifting.
  • Gavren threatens Solas. Solas backs down. A few chapters later Gavren proves he wasn't bluffing by punching Fen'Harel halfway across Tevinter.
  • Kieran bringing Urthemiel's temple to life.
  • Jerath Gilmore proves he earned his name by jumping on the back of a dragon and performing a One-Hit Kill
  • Jerath Gilmore holds back a pride demon and several others by himself until reinforcements arrive.
  • A group of sentinels takes Caleb hostage. Kieran simply points out they are threatening his friend, then politely reminds them of who he is. They immediately back down.
  • The first time Urthemiel comes out to play.
  • Salla can make an Old God mind his manners.
  • Carver Hawke demonstrates what it means to be one of the Dragonsworn by taking out a squad of Qunari with his bare hands.
  • Doubles with funny. It takes Loghain the Second approximately 10 seconds to seduce an elven sentinel.

    Apocalypse of the Dragon
  • Duncan calls out to Urthemiel. The clouds swirl and part to reveal a golden dragon as for the first time in centuries, a mortal calls to a god and the god shows up.
  • Urthemiel proves just how powerful he is by building an entire wing to Orlais's university as an act of pure will.

A Different Path

     Into Darkness, Unafraid
  • Sulana figuring out how to navigate Orlesian society by comparing the various nobles to predators around a watering hole. Vivienne highly approves.

     A Hard Line

     The Dark Path
  • Jerath finds out Brehan is in a dungeon. He promptly flies in on the back of a griffon and gets him out.
  • Nathaniel Howe shooting Tan in the face.
  • Knowing full well what will be the result for her, Vivienne quietly steps up to distract Tan long enough for Dorian to escape with Minaeve and the tranquil.
  • In Tan's story, it's Cullen who gets to kill Solas. Solas has a lovely Oh, Crap! moment when he realizes he is surrounded by powerful templars who all know who he is.

     Little Lies
  • Lukas Trevelyan foils a Venatori plot just by showing up, goes back to back bad-asses with Cassandra, cements Matril's position as Inquisitor by claiming him as his bastard brother, then rounds it off by sleeping with Iron Bull. All in one day.
  • Matril foils the envy demon by stepping from false identity to false identity until the demon is so confused it can't keep itself straight.

     Howling at the Moon

     Not the Herald
  • Whenever Kathan drops the 'big dumb ox' act and proves just how cunning and dangerous he really is.
  • The moment Kathan proves to Solas just who he's up against. Solas has a lovely little Oh, Crap! moment when he realizes Kathan has drugged him to remove his ability to cast spells. Meaning Solas is just an ordinary nonmagical elf, and Kathan is a muscular horned giant of a qunari kife-fighter full of Tranquil Fury and standing within arm's reach.
Kathan : You respect me. But for some reason, you still think I'm fucking stupid
  • Unlike the other Inquisitors, Kathan manages to kill Corypheus and fix the Breach without destroying the orb in the process
  • When Kathan has finally had enough
Mythal, get your ass out here before I open a rift in your husband's head.
  • He follows it up with:
Kathan: If'n I don't start gettin some damn good answers soon, I'm gonna step inta the Fade, bend it to my will, come back here as a god, and kick all your fucking asses inta next week. Then I'm gonna kick em again for bein where they ain't supposed to.
Tisallan : From anyone else that would be an empty threat.
    Kathan : Want to help?
    Tisallan : So very much.
  • Kathan's The Reason You Suck speech. Given to physical gods.
At least if the Maker exists he doesn't actively go around making things fucking worse! You all fucking suck as gods!
  • The Qunari keep sending assassins after Iron Bull. Iron Bull never has to deal with them because Kathan keeps putting them in shipping crates and sending them back.
  • Kathan pulling the orb out of Solas's hand, proving himself more than a match for the Dread Wolf. Solas has an Oh, Crap! moment because he knows that Kathan can use it. Solas taught him.

What's the Worst that Could Happen?
  • Doubles with Nightmare Fuel, but Jerath confronting Solas.
Tuck your tail between your legs, dog. And run
    • Solas does
  • Though tragically unsuccessful, Kels steps up to defy the Inquisitor in defense of Kieran, starting by punching a fully armed templar in the face.
