'’Detective Conan: Magic File 2012 Fantasista Flower’’ is an OVA released in 2012. It serves a Prequel to the film Detective Conan Film 16: The Eleventh Striker.
A week after losing a close match in their middle school soccer championships, Shinichi's team finds a mysterious list of written criticisms in their teamroom, critiquing each member on their skills. Shinichi is able to discover the 'culprit', but is there something else the creator wishes to do?
This OVA provides examples of:
- A Day in the Limelight: Again Shin’ichi “as” Conan is only the narrator and Shin’ichi “as” himself is The Protagonist.
- Depending on the Writer: Ran, who can be a Clingy Jealous Girl at times, shows no signs of envy at Shin’ichi taking Naomi Sawamura under his wing, and even teases him about potentially liking her.
- End of an Age: Along with Detective Conan OVA 12 The Miracle Of Excalibur, also released in 2012, this is the final regular Detective Conan OVA.
- History Repeats: Shin’ichi played soccer with Naomi just like how he would play soccer with Kazuyoshi Miura as Conan.
- Whole Episode Flashback: This entire OVA takes place before Shin’ichi was poisoned.
- You Remind Me of X: Shin’ichi says Naomi reminds him of someone, but we know it’s Ran.
