* UncannyValley: An intentional case. [[spoiler:Hiromu's face on Enter's head is very... off.]]

* CatharsisFactor: After all of the crap Enter sent the team's way [[spoiler:once he usurped Messiah as the BigBad, it is incredibly satisfying to see that his plan to use Hiromu and Jin as {{Soul Jar}}s was rendered ''entirely useless'', thanks to the latter's HeroicSacrifice, allowing the Go-Busters to finally get a chance to destroy him. Using all their attacks against him, they use a combined version of Hiromu's "Volcanick Attack" to take down Enter once and for all. Even Enter seems to acknowledge the Go-Busters in this moment, accepting his death gracefully.]]

** The core three Busters in general. With enough CharacterDevelopment, they go from {{Static Character}}s to noticeably much more well-rounded and realized characters. Also, they become noticeably closer than before.

* VanillaProtagonist: With the exceptions of Jin and J, the three core Go-Busters (Hiromu, Ryuuji and Youko) are this, since they didn't get much CharacterDevelopment (at least, in comparison to some of Kobayashi's [[Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger other]] [[Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger series]]), even in their focus episodes, making themselves {{Static Character}}s in some of the fans' eyes.

** #21. Ryuji [[Film/TheIncredibleHulk gets a handle on his "berserk" side]] [[Film/TheAvengers2012 by making it a part of himself.]]

* MemeticMutation:
** Two episodes in and there's already a tally running to count how many times the Go-Busters [[http://countzaglasses.com/ throw their glasses aside]].
** Go-Buster Ace dancing.
** When it was revealed that [[spoiler:Enter put the 13th Messiah Card in Hiromu and used it to back himself up]], many people commented that "[[spoiler:Hiromu is a [[Literature/HarryPotter Horcrux]]]]!"
** "It's time for ______ Buster!" seems to be getting this status.

* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: Episode 50 is one of the best showcases of what the main cast can really do, as [[spoiler:Jin reveals that he's going to destroy his body to destroy Card no.13 once and for all, thus killing him permanently.]] Hiroya Matsumoto's impassioned speech as Jin reminisces about life is truly spectacular while the others barely say a word, only straight-up sobbing at the revelation. It's only around four minutes in length, but this scene shines for the cast's emotional strength and true talent, making what could be a narmy scene in a different cast's hands into something absolutely gut-wrenching.
** A big shout-out here goes to Hiroya Matsumoto, who brings some real gravitas to Jin's character in this scene. He drops all pretenses and straight up cries his whole heart out, making every single word of his speech count as the others stand around in sheer confusion and sadness at what Jin is about to do.

** The controversy regarding the show being skipped in favor of adapting ''Kyoryuger'' as Power Rangers, after the announcement of ''Series/PowerRangersBeastMorphers'', which means that instead of being the first series since ''Dairanger'' [[AdaptedOut not to be adapted]], ''Gobusters'' is now the first season to be adapted out of order.

** Overheated Ryūji ''is'' badass, but his way of fighting was utterly sadistic even for ''Sentai'' standards and terrifying. No wonder Yōko was scared out of her pants.
*** For that matter, both Yōko's and Hiromu's weak points border on AndIMustScream.

** [[spoiler:Hiromu fully willing and able to commit ''MurderSuicide'' if it means Enter gets taken down for good. It doesn't work thankfully.]]

** The Buddyroids (save for Beet J. Stag) are mostly underused aside of being mostly comic reliefs and as parts for the Powered Custom.

* VindicatedByHistory: The season has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity for the same reasons people derided it at first (being too different). Especially from ''Kamen Rider'' fans and people disappointed with ''Kyoryuger'', ''[=ToQger=]'', and ''Ninninger''. Further proof of ''Go-Busters''[='=] vindication was observed when the announcement of ''Series/PowerRangersBeastMorphers'' was met with much rejoicing.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: The special effects are ''really'' top notch this year.
** Notable is the almost complete lack of stock footage, especially when the [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger previous season]] was full of it. The fact that the effects still manage to hold up in recent times really says something.

* CompleteMonster: [[DragonInChief Enter]] is responsible for turning innocents--including children--into his [[UnwillingRoboticisation robot slaves]] and using them as {{human shield}}s, showing sickening amusement with his own cruelty. After the destruction of his boss, Enter takes over as the new Messiah, seeking to assimilate all of Earth to rule supreme. Turning the heroic Hiromu into a SoulJar to allow himself to continuously regenerate if defeated, Enter forces the Go-Busters to [[SadisticChoice considering killing their friend to stop him]]. When Hiromu threatens to kill himself to stop Enter, he tries to put Hiromu into a coma to force him to become a docile part of his nefarious scheme.

* MagnificentBastard: Enter, oh so much so. Badass, charismatic and more than willing to dirty his hands, he has been the Busters' greatest enemy from the very beginning, often outsmarting friend and foe alike and manipulating situations to his advantage. [[spoiler:No wonder he's become a DragonAscendant.]] Perhaps it's all the more impressive [[TookALevelInBadass that Enter actually]] [[CharacterDevelopment worked his way to become this]].

* MoralEventHorizon: Their plan in Mission 3 pushes Messiah and Enter over this, as the UnwillingRoboticisation and near ''mass murder'' committed in the episode was outright said by Enter to be solely ForTheEvulz.

** [[spoiler:Enter after his defeat in Mission 30. Somehow him becoming more stoic and calm with only occasional traces of his troll-like persona remaining. Somehow this makes him even ''more'' disturbing than he already was.]]

** The core three Busters in general. They become base breaking characters with enough character development. They went from wanting to save their parents to not letting their sacrifices to be in vain and accept their death. Also, they become noticeably closer than before.

** Let's not get started with the core three Go-Busters themselves, who would have gotten CharacterDevelopment if the staff put more effort on them.

* VanillaProtagonist: With the exceptions of Jin and J. The three core Go-Busters (Hiromu, Ryuuji and Youko) are this, since they didn't get much CharacterDevelopment, even in their focus episodes, making themselves {{Static Character}}s.

* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: Sure, the show still has its cartoonish moments in the form of the Buddyroids and the rangers' weaknesses (minus Ryuji), but it's far more willing to delve into topics such as mass-murder, suicide, and cyber-terrorism on a week-to-week basis. Even when there are multiple {{Hope Spot}}s, they are far more willing to do things that most Sentai nowadays wouldn't have the gall to do, such as [[spoiler:killing off the heroes' loved ones and one of the team's members in order to render the main villain dead.]]

** In #33, the Powered Custom SuperMode involves an addon to the morpher that fuses our heroes bodily with their Buddyroid partners...kinda like [[Series/KamenRiderDouble CycloneJokerXtreme]]. As if reinforcing this, Red sticks to close-quarter combat (like [=CycloneJoker=]), Blue summons a girder that he uses like a staff ([=HeatMetal=]), and Yellow sticks with the shooting ([=LunaTrigger=])!

* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: Earlier impressions of the Commander Kuroki left with the sour taste in the viewers. It took his HiddenDepths to redeem him.

* SpecialEffectFailure: when in close-up shots, the Buddyroids' eyes just look like glow-in-the-dark ''stickers''.

** Messiah, the "supposed" BigBad of the series, doesn't get much in terms of personality, other than being a tantrum-throwing, ill-tempered, power-hungry virus. The fact that the series focuses more on his DragonInChief Enter doesn't help things.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Messiah's origin is never revealed. Being a computer virus, one would think that it'd be a man-made entity, and some speculation is made regarding its origins (perhaps the scientists at the facility, or even Hiromu's parents created it). It would have made for an excellent reveal during the late stages of the series, but it was never even hinted at or touched on.

** Notable is the almost complete lack of stock footage, especially when the [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger previous season]] was full of it.

** Since the 'exporting' of ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' internationally under the name PowerRangers is old news by now in Japan, the whole premise of Rangers protecting their world's ''power supply'' (the whole Enetron shebang) may have been Toei's attempt to create ''[[StealthPun literal]]'' Power Rangers.

** [[spoiler: Escape's Megazord's debut. She takes Enter and CRUSHES him using the Megazord's hands. It's pretty graphic for a show like this and there's the crushing sound to make everything better.]]

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: The Buddyroids (save for Beet J. Stag) are mostly underused aside of being mostly comic reliefs and as parts for the Powered Custom.

* ToughActToFollow: Quite a few fans think ''Go-Busters'' is a great show, but had the misfortune of coming after ''Gokaiger'', which was brimming with awesome. It's worse if you compare it to Kobayashi's previous Sentai, ''Shinkenger'', where the cup runneth over with epic dramatic awesome ''every single episode.''

* RetroactiveRecognition: ''Go-Busters'' has been remarked outside of ''Sentai'' fandom in later years as being the career debut of Arisa Komiya (Yoko) after she hit it big as an IdolSinger through the ''Franchise/LoveLive'' franchise.

** Mission 41 has a thief, who breaks into safes, wears disguises, leaves cards behind bragging about robbing, has jazzy music, can do martial arts, and tries to lure a monster out because she feels it's her job to not let it hurt civilians. Plus, she justifies thieving because she only steals from bad people. Sounds like a prototype for Lupinrangers.

** Mission 42 has a flying train that comes out of the sky whenever it feeels like it, and picks up people with a particular personality trait. Sounds a lot like a prototype of ToQger.

** The show's overall theme is about how perfection is overrated and that having no flaws can make something boring. Cue ''Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger''[='s=] main protagonist Daigo Kiryu, [[TheAce an Ace]] [[MartyStu who's so perfect]], it's stated by Tessai that his one major flaw is that he ''has'' no flaws. [[BrokenBase Whether King subverts or exemplifies Go-Busters is up to the individual person to decide]].

** And in Mission 49, [[spoiler:Enter goes even further, assimilating an Enetron tank, turning it into a Megazord, along with dozens of innocent employees. He even attempted to absorb children! And his final plan has him doing this all over the world. As if we needed any more reason for him to be deleted!]]

** [[spoiler:Messiah Reboot. The design is disturbing enough, but the fact the dang thing ''towers'' over the Gobuster's machines to the point it could hold one of the base Buster Machines in its hand like a ''toy''.]]

** In Mission 44, Messiah takes a flying leap past it [[spoiler:by assimilating Enter after his revival]].

* MostAnnoyingSound: The sound heard whenever a Metaroid is created.
