** Percy Jackson and friends being attacked by members of a ScaryAmoralReligion who want to kill the Greek pantheon in the name of their patron EldritchAbomination could have made a good CosmicHorrorStory. Sadly, it's an AuthorTract.

* CriticalResearchFailure: Aside from those listed in ArtisticLicenseReligion and ArtisticLicenseHistory, the series has made many, ''many'' errors otherwise.
** Some of the errors are from the author not bothering to read or watch the source materials; for instance, in ''The Evil Gods I'', it's said that Zeus was Percy Jackson's father, rather than Poseidon. In ''The Prayer Ponies'', Rainbow Dash is presented as ''male'', Cutie Marks are always called "the marks on their butts," and Celestia's name is misspelled in at least two separate ways.
** In ''Threat of Satanic Commonism'', the Rika and Books that are featured are male when they're really female. [[FridgeHorror This might have been a good thing considering the author views women as subhuman entities.]]
** ''Evil Gods II'' has some Artistic License with US Government: when a president dies (and then comes back and quickly thrown in jail for rigging the election and being Kenyan), ''the candidate who ran against him in the last election'' (John [=McCain=]) becomes president rather than the vice president getting promoted.
** St. George was apparently a demon. Despite being a ''saint.'' It's somewhat more understandable, though, if you consider that he's the patron saint of England, which the author seems to consider an evil country for, among other reasons, Henry VIII cutting ties with the Roman Catholic Church and for being the host to [[Literature/HarryPotter Hogwarts]].
*** This isn't helped by Hogwarts technically being in Scotland.

* DesignatedHero: Our "heroes" are self-righteous, racist, homophobic, misogynistic mass-murderers who made ''Stalin'' look sympathetic in universe. Even moreso, they are never seen doing anything positive let alone anything heroic. We never see them feeding the poor, healing the sick, or even stopping to PetTheDog. They get rid of the "villains," and make everyone convert to Christianity, but the Satanists were actually better people than the Prayer Warriors were, and the conversions [[FridgeHorror are almost all coerced thanks to our heroes policy of killing those who refuse]].

** UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: ...And our "heroes" ruthlessly and remorselessly murder innocent people for daring to not share their narrow, hate-filled views on the world. The only reason they get away with everything is because [[HijackingCthulhu they somehow managed to enslave God]].

* ValuesDissonance:
** It sounds like someone mixed the author's Bible with an Al-Qaeda training manual. [[DeliberateValuesDissonance May be deliberate]] if this series really is a TrollFic series.
** This even gets seemingly acknowledged in one case in ''Threat of Satanic Commonism'', in which Grover says that Stalin legalized drugs, but [[InsaneTrollLogic since Grover goes by American law, in which drugs are illegal, he has to kill Benry for dealing drugs]].

* FollowTheLeader: The series has a lot of similarities to ''FanFic/MyImmortal'', though WordOfGod is that all those references were done unintentionally.

* DearNegativeReader: Thomas frequently begins chapters by saying that his critics are going to Hell for "mocking" him.

* AudienceAlienatingPremise: The violent religious fanatics who go around killing people and forcefully converting others are supposed to be the ''heroes''. Needless to say, this series doesn't have a lot of non-ironic fans.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: There's an extraordinarily pointless moment in ''Threate of Satanic Commonism'' where a guy appears out of nowhere and [[RapeAsDrama rapes Ebony]], so Percy then promptly [[HonorRelatedAbuse kills her]] for being DefiledForever. This wouldn't be a ''BLAM'' if Ebony didn't [[DeathIsCheap show up alive and well]] in ''that very same chapter'', making the whole thing come across as just [[GratuitousRape rape for the sake of rape.]]

* AssPull: The author having to tell us in parenthesis that God told Jerry about TheMole midscene in ''The Evil Gods I''.
** The [[{{Retcon}} retconning]] of Michael's death at the end of ''Battle with the Witches''. Granted, the series is fairly vague about who the POV character is at any given point.

* FamilyUnfriendlyAesop: More than a few of them, and almost always very obvious.
** If it ain't a Christian, it's a Satanist, and it has to die.
** Women are useless and should be subservient to men. Thankfully, this is also a BrokenAesop, as the women are far more effective than the author gives them credit for.

* SnarkBait: There's a lot to make fun of in this series- the author's insane beliefs, the abysmal spelling and grammar, the blatant inconsistencies (notably how many characters keep coming BackFromTheDead) and the overall poor writing, among many others. There's a [[SoBadItsGood reason]] a lot of people think this is a TrollFic.

* ILikedItBetterWhenItSucked: The chapters written by Ebony are less preachy, less poorly spelled, better-written and much less disturbing, and consequentially much less fun to read than the chapters written by Thomas. On the other hand, there are gems such as Socrates being referred to as a Roman god, and in the one chapter Noah proofread, Michael struggling to suppress his feelings of attraction to Ginny.

* SnarkBait: There's a lot to make fun of in this series- the author's insane beliefs, the abysmal spelling and grammar, the blatant inconsistencies (notably how many characters keep coming BackFromTheDead) and the overall poor writing, among many others.

* CanonDefilement: Of ''Literature/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians'', ''Literature/HarryPotter'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{My Little Pony|FriendshipIsMagic}}''. Even history gets defiled.

* AbsenteeActor: Rarity is the only one of the Mane Six who doesn't appear in The Prayer Ponies, with no explanation as to why. Most of the other fics made at least a token effort to include the main cast, even if they're not in character.

* JustForFun/XMeetsY: ''Satanic Commonism'': [[ComicBook/ChickTracts Jack's]] [[Literature/TheIliad Iliad]] of {{Singularity}}.

* EsotericHappyEnding: Satan is defeated, but the United State is now an oppressive theocracy (and in the later installments, England, Ireland and other countries seem to be following suit), Harry Potter has been killed while Voldemort is still on the loose, and a very unpopular Tsar has been restored to the throne, messing up history. Um...yay?

* HilariousInHindsight: The Prayer Warriors support Donald Trump for President as early as the 2012 election, and [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10807606/102/The-Prayer-Warriors-Saga one chapter of "Titans Strike Back," posted in April 2016, predicted Trump's victory]]. Of course, for those who dislike Trump, it may also count as HarsherInHindsight.

* CompleteMonster: Jupiter. Unlike the other villains, [[EstablishingCharacterMoment he quickly makes an impression]] that he is no mere DesignatedVillain when he crosses the MoralEventHorizon by torturing two Prayer Warriors to death, and doesn't even bother asking the first any questions. He then plans on coercing two Prayer Warriors into fighting one another in a similarly pointless display of cruelty, and when that fails, he escapes. In the India arc, it is revealed that Jupiter uses children as slaves, and he [[HeroKiller kills Percy]] after [[NoSell miraculously surviving]] a BoltOfDivineRetribution. His actions are played as completely horrific at all times, and he [[EvenEvilHasStandards apparently inspires no loyalty from even his fellow Roman gods]], as one dying goddess claims Jupiter was using her and the others.

* FamilyUnfriendlyAesop: If it ain't a Christian, it's a Satanist, and it has to die.

* TheyJustDidntCare: Even ignoring all the spelling and grammar errors, mythological errors, {{Plot Hole}}s, {{Writer Cop Out}}s, and {{Designated Hero}}es or {{Designated Villain}}s, it's hard to excuse the continuity errors. Grover, Annabeth, Clarisse, Thalia, and Harry all show up quite frequently after getting killed off.

** The [[{{Retcon}} retconning]] of Michael's death at the end of ''Battle with the Witches''.

** Meta-example: Noah Brown, weather or not he actually exists or was made up by the troll who created this. In the chapters written by him, his notes are every bit as over the top self-righteous as Thomas Brown's, until he came out as bi. He had to run away from home to avoid his brother's wrath (and Thomas was supposedly out [[FridgeHorror looking for him]]), and on top of everything inspired Jupiter's [[DepravedBisexual characterisation]], as Thomas felt like spiting his brother.
