** Jared has pointed out during his randomizer runs that the sudden switch-ups and being forced to explore things he usually ignores as he knows they contain worthless items are what leads to these kinds of moments, though comment sections are often filled with viewers trying to guide him back to something that should have been obvious at the time. However, the biggest backlash in this sense, at least based on comments, seems to have been with his ''Metroid-Zelda Randomizer'', as Jared admits he hadn't played ''VideoGame/SuperMetroid'' in ages and, as expected, was EXTREMELY lost very quickly. Many fans felt he should have refamiliarized himself with the game off-screen before attempting it and wandering around lost for so long.

** He ranked Wii exclusive JRPG ''VideoGame/TheLastStory'' number 8 on his "Top 10 Worst Games of 2012" list. A decent amount of comments on the video itself are of people saying how much they disagree with the game even making the list at all, let alone being placed as being worse than ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII-2'', a game that already had a huge BrokenBase.
** An indirect example, but in his VideoGame/SuperMario3DWorld review (which was very positive, he gave the game a 9/10, which isn't a score Jared gives out often), he said the game is "the first must own game on the Wii U." Fans of games like [[VideoGame/{{Pikmin}} Pikmin 3]] and ''VideoGame/TheWonderful101'' assumed this meant Jared didn't think very highly of those games (both were released months before 3D World), causing a small amount of backlash.
** People got noticeably miffed at his review of ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance'' ending in a 4/10, mostly due to the fact that he made observations you'd expect from someone who only played the tutorial level, one example being his belief that the game lacked a dodge function when it's one of the first things you unlock in the main story.
** His ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure2'' review has invoked a mixed reaction too. While some people agree with Jared that the game has not aged well, others argue that Jared's being overly harsh on a game that was acclaimed when it first came out and still has plenty of fans to this day. The fact Jared spends a good portion of the review accusing fans of ''Sonic Adventure 2'' of being people who only like the game because of NostalgiaFilter doesn't help.
