Today, however, he's better known for his ex-wife's accusations of cheating on her with Game Grumps associate Holly Conrad and multiple fans' claims that he solicited nudes from them while they were underage. Jared managed to recover his goodwill with fans by explaining in a rebuttal video that the affair was mutually consensual between his and Conrad's spouses and that his accusers lied about their age and were cut off before anything sexual occurred. However, it's still difficult to discuss him without circling back to the allegations, and ultimately Jared’s viewership never managed to reclaim the numbers he had prior to the allegations.

However, the biggest backlash in this sense, at least based on comments, seems to have been with his ''Metroid-Zelda Randomizer'', as Jared admits he hadn't played ''VideoGame/SuperMetroid'' in ages and, as expected, was EXTREMELY lost very quickly. Many fans felt he should have refamiliarized himself with the game off-screen before attempting it and wandering around lost for so long. In most recent Randomizers, his refusal to take notes on where he was, what dungeons he completed and any other variant (when most Zelda players take notes even when playing the normal games) making him get easily lost has only brought the same anger. On his Ocarina of Time Randomized series, Jared spent 7 episodes searching all holes on the floor and caves for itens he was missing, having forgotten completely a whole Dungeon he did not complete (the Shadow Temple).

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: His ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIII'' review has a scene where ''VideoGame/FinalFantasy'' gives birth to ''FFIII'', while her partner ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyII'' cheers her on. ''VideoGame/DoctorMario'' is watching over the operation, and Final Fantasy's dad, ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons Rules Cyclopedia" later comes in to tell FF how proud he is of her. The first three are represented by their respective cartridges, and the dad is a book.
