* HarsherInHindsight: One of the songs in the album ''Joanne'' was "Angel Down", a song about police brutality and the corrupt ignorance of the government made as a response to the death of Trayvon Martin. Almost four years later, the death of George Floyd happened around the same time as her next album, ''Chromatica'', and his and several other deaths caused a strong resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement and many riots in America fighting against the issues of racism and police brutality in America. Lady Gaga even wrote a letter taking part in the movement in response to Floyd's death, and it shows that her opinion hasn't changed at all since ''Joanne'' was released.

** Lady Gaga fans versus Music/TaylorSwift fans. Any thread discussing the former will bring up the latter as a point of debate, and vice versa. Gaga fans scoff at Taylor Swift's TastesLikeDiabetes love songs and "antifeminist undertones", while Taylor Swift fans dislike Gaga's hypersexual/controversial image and prefer their pop to be sweet. For the record, Gaga has said that she loves Taylor Swift, and Swift said the same, so the whole thing is pathetic. ''It's just the fans, '''not''' the personalities.''

It didn't help that it ended up being completely overshadowed by other albums upon release, despite the amount of effort she put into promoting it, and that two of the tracks ("Aura" and "Gypsy") could be seen as culturally insensitive.

By this point it'd been CommonKnowledge that he was a sex offender for about 15 years, so fans were wondering what on earth possessed her to pick him to feature on the song, especially when there was also a significantly better received version with Music/ChristinaAguilera going unused. Then there's the unreleased video directed for some reason by Terry Richardson (also a sex offender) which featured Kelly as a doctor putting her to sleep and saying "When you wake up, you'll be pregnant". When allegations against R-Kelly came up again after Me Too, Gaga officially pulled the song and video off all platforms, but this just caused fans to wonder why it took her 6 years.

* InternetBackdraft:
