* HilariousInHindsight: The Joker makes a comment that soon his tumor will claim him and he'll be deader than ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}''. Y'know, the franchise that is still, to this day, 20 years and change and counting, an absolute ''juggernaut.''

* HilariousInHindsight: The Joker makes a comment that soon his tumor will claim him and he'll be deader than ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}''. Y'know, In 2001, the ''Pokémon'' franchise was going through a slump and was seen as just a passing fad, but it would eventually not only recover, but go on to become the world's biggest multimedia empire. The fact that is still, to [[spoiler:just like ''Pokémon'', the Joker also ends up surviving after all]] only makes this day, 20 years and change and counting, an absolute ''juggernaut.''funnier.

* FranchiseOriginalSin: This is one of the first times that the Joker has "gone all out" and caused CrisisCrossover levels of mayhem, single-handedly putting everybody in the superhero community against the wall (and trying to do a supremely elaborate and cruel attempt at a SuicideByCop). This one, however, at least has the benefit of the fact that Joker (and everybody else, probably audience included) believes he ''is'' doing TheLastDance. By the time the Batman arcs ''Death of the Family'', ''Endgame'' and ''Joker War'' along, however, audiences were starting to grind their teeth because "Joker decides to up his game, makes everybody in the DC Universe tremble, even the PhysicalGod-types" was not only pile-driven into the ground, but the newest arcs had him as a full-blown InvincibleVillain that even (sort-of) won in the end (and one of the biggest complaints about ''Endgame'' was that [[ItsTheSameNowItSucks it was a near-perfect rehash]] of ''Death of the Family''[='=]s story beats). Heck, technically this was even the inspiration to create the backstory of ''VideoGame/InjusticeGodsAmongUs''.

** One of the items on Joker's list of things to do is "kill Lois Lane". In ''VideoGame/InjusticeGodsAmongUs'', Joker doing just this would result in Superman's StartOfDarkness and thus the Regime's birth.

There is also "War of Jokes and Riddles", but I am not quite 100% sure about adding it (and it balances out with the fact that the Riddler is also on that ride). Point is, this is a problem that dragged into the Rebuild era.

Did Pokemon ever really go away? I remember it *not being a huge craze* for a while, but it's not like the games or anime or TCG ever stopped coming, nor did people stop buying them.
