** In particular, Freddie sitting on a couch with the rest of the band, and the others scooting away from him, becomes even more this once the public became aware of Freddie's condition given the stigma still connected to HIV and AIDS at the time.

* DyingMomentOfAwesome: For Freddie, by this point he was well aware he was finished and wouldn't last much longer and ''Innuendo''sees him going out on a high. Notably ''TheShowMustGoOn'' is the final track of what he knew full well would almost certainly be his last full album. Effectively making a song about fighting to the end the very last song for both him and Queen as it's classic lineup.

* ToughActToFollow: As the album was so well-received by the fans and the public in general, a lot of what they have done since is usually measured up against it. That includes their solo careers. Roger Taylor himself [[https://ultimateclassicrock.com/queen-new-music-roger-taylor/ admitted]] that the challenge of living up to ''Innuendo'' and the rest of the band's legacy is a major factor in why Queen hasn't recorded any new, original material since ''The Cosmos Rocks'' in 2008.

* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: After various {{Contested Sequel}}s in the band's '80s output, ''Innuendo'' is generally regarded by fans as a major return to form for Queen, with many even ranking it on par with their "golden age" albums (i.e. everything up to ''Music/{{The Game|Queen}}'').

Funny Aneurysm Moment was merged into Harsher In Hindsight, and Dying Moment Of Awesome isn't a YMMV trope.

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: "I'm Going Slightly Mad" is a silly song, full of weird metaphors, but once you learn it was written reflecting [[HarsherInHindsight Freddie's real-life AIDS dementia...]]

* OneSceneWonder: Steve Howe plays a few second of flamenco guitar on the title track, but that's one of the most famous parts of the song and album.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: The engineers who worked on this album, Noel Harris, Justin Shirley-Smith and (also co-producer) David Richards, were never asked by the band to sign any sort of non-disclosure agreement, even though they were well-aware of Fred's health issues and could've easily gone to the press to sell them out for some easy money. That's how much the band trusted them. Needless to say, they never betrayed that trust.
* EnforcedMethodActing: Fred wanted the guitar solo on "All God's People" to reflect the quiet desperation he was going for in the music, so he kept pestering Brian until he annoyed him enough to get him to deliver a flawless solo. The producers and engineers were shocked at first, since Freddie was usually a diplomat, but when they finally saw what he was doing they understood he just wanted to encourage Brian to perform at his best.

* SpearCarrier (or Cameo ... YMMV): Mike Moran, Freddie's friend and partner in crime for his off-Queen career (co-songwriter, co-arranger, co-producer and pianist), has an uncredited appearance on "Slightly Mad" as a few seconds of his piano piece "The Fallen Priest" (co-written by both of them) are sampled (backwards) near the end of the track. Of course, he's also got a credited performance on "All God's People", both as a keyboard player and as co-author.
