** The game also makes Indy's signature revolver into a set piece instead of part of his gear.gear, at least the PSP version lets you use it with limited ammo in the melee combat sections.
** Boss fights in the PSP version are incredibly rigid, you have to repeat the exact same set of correct actions each time with bosses no selling anything else meaning they're difficult until you find the solution then just repeating the same thing over and over with little to no deviation.

**Rolling Rocks in the PSP version, you have to dodge boulders that the camera doesn't let you see then navigate a difficult balancing beam where giant moving obstructions try to knock you off with wonky hitboxes that can knock Indy off even when they clearly didn't hit them.

* SoOkayItsAverage: The general consensus is that while the game has good graphics, varied gameplay, and good voice acting, the controls and story leave much to be desired. Though the UsefulNotes/{{Wii}} version came with ''Videogame/IndianaJonesAndTheFateOfAtlantis'', so those without access to Steam or an older computer could play it, so it wasn't all bad.

* CompleteMonster: [[https://mixnmojo.com/news/Indiana-Jones-and-the-Staff-of-Kings-novelization-available-for-free-to-fans-fifteen-years-later novelization]], by Rob [=MacGregor=]: [[EvilCounterpart Magnus Völler]], former AdventurerArchaeologist and rival to Indy in his student years, is by the time of the novel an ice-cold Nazi officer. Magnus seeks the Staff of Moses for UsefulNotes/NaziGermany, and to this end launches a bloody attack on a holy city that his old mentor Professor Kingston is living in. In short order, Magnus massacres dozens of people in the city's temple, kills Kingston himself, and is stopped only seconds before he can have his warplanes fire upon a gigantic crowd of men, women, and children. Magnus is scarcely any better to his own allies, executing them for failure, for being wounded, or even for giving him key information about Indy and his allies.
