** The sequence where King Ghidorah devastates Tokyo is also great stuff and makes very other scene of city destruction before it (and most after) look like a picnic- nothing has been quite as grand
** And of course, Rodan vs Godzilla, where the pterosaur actually goes toe to toe with the King of the Monsters.
** And when Mothra convinces them both to get their heads out of their asses and battle King Ghidorah.

* NightmareFuel: Falls under fridge, but it might as well be noted here. Another troper noted on the main Godzilla Fridge page that the first Mothra Larva mysteriously disappeared, and in the previous film Godzilla appeared interested in consuming the Mothra egg. I think we can add things up from here...
** Perhaps even creepier, catterpillars will actually consume their own if they don't have enough food. In the previous film, Mothra vs Godzilla, it is mentined that if the Mothra Larva hatches it will consume much of the Earth's vegetation (the previous Mothra is likely very, very old, a Larva back when its huge appetite was hardly a problem). Now that TWO Mothra Larvae have hatched, Birth Island is clearly not a flourishing garden, ans Earth is clearly not consumed, the implications could be horrifying.
*** The parent Mothra is shown hatching from her egg in the original movie, so she didn't seem to have any problems finding food. Also, there is NO mention that the larva would consume much of earth's vegetation. Merely that while looking for food, it could cause great destruction.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The second Mothra Larva from the previous film Film/MothraVsGodzilla disappears without explanation. Officially, we don't know what became of the second larva. (See the NightmareFuel entry above.)
** In the Japanese version, the Shobijin explain that it died (likely from the beating it received being whipped around by Godzilla's tail).

to:

* EnsembleDarkHorse: King Ghidorah, who would go onto make the most appearances of any of Godzilla's enemies, and among Toho's monsters is likely only surpassed in popularity by Godzilla himself.

* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Owing to its regular theatrical and afternoon TV showings from the mid-sixties to late-seventies, the film has a somewhat large American fan base, as it was only shown stateside during its original release, but nowhere else, so foreign viewers who got the debatably superior ''Invasion of Astro-Monster'' in its place are mostly indifferent or actually dislike it.

* CompleteMonster: Among kaiju, King Ghidorah is probably the worst of the complete monsters, totally insane, going around killing worlds just for the heck of it, and laughing like a maniac all the way through. However, this is one of only 2 times Ghidorah is actually a Complete Monster- the other time would be in Rebirth of Mothra 3, where ironically King Ghidorah battled not Godzilla but Mothra, but was perhaps an even greater Complete Monster.
