* BetterThanCanon: Due to the open source nature of ''Everlasting Summer'', it managed to gather a pretty massive modding community, with several mods regarded as being an overall improval over the original.
** ''7 Days of Summer'' is one of the most popular mods, roughly based on [[WhatCouldHaveBeen early scripts for the novel]]. In terms of volume, it has not only long surpassed the original, but is one of the most text-heavy visual novels written in an Eastern European language — and is still largely incomplete. It offers a number of new quirks such as MultipleChoicePast of the protagonist and route variations (for each girl, there is a brand new romantic route, as well as so-called "classic" and "original" routes), in addition to greatly expanding the lore of ''Everlasting Summer''.
** Another well-regarded mod features a fictionalized version of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samantha_Smith Samantha Smith]] coming over to "Sovyonok". It is notable mostly for its writing, including a memorable event during which the entire camp RhymesOnADime, and on-point characterizations. Samantha herself went on to become an EnsembleDarkhorse of sorts — despite her being a fan-made character, she gets a good amount of FanArt dedicated to her.

A) Neither of these mention a creator preferred pairing which is needed to count as a Fan Preferred Couple. B) It says that you can romance them both so they are both canon and this trope is for non canon ships overshadowing a characters canon one.

* FanPreferredCouple: Among the various pairings with Semyon, two of the girls are the most popular choices to ship with him in the fandom.
** Lena, because she's the shy, cute and innocent type of character, and her good ending feels more involved and complete as [[spoiler:she ends up having a family with Semyon]].
** [[spoiler:Yulya]] is treated as the OfficialCouple with Semyon by many of her fans because her route is necessary to proceed to the HaremEnding, she has a ''lot'' of dialogue with Semyon (in fact, her route is one of the longest), and her route wraps up the overarching plot. Making her all the more popular is her unusual appearance among a cast of youth campers.

* BrokenBase: The novel itself has a decidedly mixed reputation on the Russian internet. People outside the demographic of "{{ImageBoard|s}} user vaguely remembering Young Pioneer camps" tend to criticise it as a blatant wish fulfillment, while fans of visual novels in general point out that many people who tried ''Everlasting Summer'' out usually don't get deeper into the genre.

* GatewaySeries: ''Everlasting Summer'' is the first visual novel for a lot of Steam users back in the early 2010's when the playerbase wasn't that extremely high yet, and when visual novels weren't as plenty on the gaming platform. The main driving force of this is that the game released on Steam as a free-to-play title.

* FanNickname: To fans who cannot easily remember the title of the "A Lone Pioneer's Story" DLC, they just call it "Zhenya DLC" or "Zhenya's route" because she's the [[ADayInTheLimelight spotlight character]] of that storyline.

* ValuesDissonance: Sexualising teenagers may owe something to how Russian culture expects youths to be more mature than, say, in the United States. This is probably what led to Valve demanding all 18+ content be removed from the game again in February 2022, despite {{Hentai}} games becoming a common sight on Steam in the years since ''Everlasting Summer's'' initial release.

* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** If there's one girl who's very popular in the fanarts and cosplays of the game, it's [[spoiler:Yulya]], as her route is crucial in the Harem Ending, she has a lot of ShipTease with Semyon, has a lot of plot relevance in the greater scheme of things, and especially the unique fact that she is the [[spoiler:personification of Semyon's consciousness]]. Plus, there's also her appearance and mannerisms of a [[spoiler:CatGirl]], which appeals to a lot of anime-styled visual novel fans.
** Lena comes close as probably the second most popular or well-known character in this game's community, and it helps that both Lena and [[spoiler:Yulya]] are two of the [[FanPreferredCouple most common girls shipped with Semyon]].

** Lena, because she's the shy, cute and innocent type of character, and that her good ending is purely heartwarming and wholesome ([[spoiler:she ends up having a family with Semyon]]).
** [[spoiler:Yulya]] is often treated to be the OfficialCouple with Semyon according to her fans because her route is necessary to proceed to the HaremEnding, that she has a ''lot'' of dialogue with Semyon (to which in fact, her route is one of the longest among the girls), and thus has a lot of plot-relevance [[spoiler:in the endgame]]. What makes her popularity even higher is her appearance of a [[spoiler:CatGirl, which is unusual and out-of-place compared to the other relatively "normal"-looking female youth campers]].
* FriendlyFandoms: A somewhat sizeable overlap exist between fandoms of ''VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub'' and ''VisualNovel/EverlastingSummer'', helped a lot by similarities between the characters of Yuri and Lena. One mod for ''ES'', "The Music Club", has a similar setup with the protagonist joining a club packed with cute girls, and features Yuri as a new character (naturally, she's the roomate of Lena) in an extended ShoutOut.

* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: For a Russian game, ''Everlasting Summer'' has a [[CultClassic significant number of English supporters]], thanks to the game being released on UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} for free.

* MemeticMutation: The game is a veritable collection of Russian imageboards' memes and in-jokes, which unfortunately will probably fly right over the heads of foreign gamers.
