* CatharsisFactor: It is ''immensely'' satisfying to see Pink and Blue so [[OutOfCharacterMoment genuinely shocked]] when Charlie manages to [[ThrowTheDogABone escape their murder attempt and has nothing bad happen to him]] in 4.

They are actually dead bodies that are being possessed by a pair of malicious, extradimensional chaos spirits entombed in blocks of iron that enhance their supernatural powers. And over the last 10,000 years, they have all but eradicated civilization and, as a form of [[ForTheEvulz entertainment]], they have sought out individual survivors, tormented them in various ways, before ultimately killing them. And Charlie is just their latest victim.]]

** [[OmniscientCouncilOfVagueness The Order of Tutelary Weasels]] are needlessly bureaucratic, passive-agressive and spend more time whining about being inconvenienced than doing their jobs. The moment they learn that the danger is not the tower they're guarding, but something sealed in the caverns beneath, they decide to unseal it, believing it to be a weapon they can use. Needless to say, the end up releasing the EldritchAbomination contained within, which promptly slaughters them all.
** Mayor Sluv, who is both mayor of [[OneNationUnderCopyright Magic City]][[InsistentTerminology : City of Magic]] and owner of [[MegaCorp Sluv Industries]]. When Nyx sends him a letter warning him that a magic-eating EldritchAbomination might be heading for the city, he throws it in the garbage rather than heeding the message and doing something to prepare. This ends with him being killed and turned into a MeatPuppet for the monster.

[[spoiler:By the time Nyx gets there to warn Mayor Sluv, [[YouAreTooLate it’s already killed the majority of the population]] and casually reveals to him that it’s using Sluv as a MeatPuppet to talk to him. It proceeds to sadistically taunt Nyx, pointing out that the Mayor [[TooDumbToLive carelessly threw his letter in the trash]], which it finds hilarious, and claiming that it wants him to ‘watch everything fall apart’. [[LiteralMetaphor Including Mayor Sluv’s body]], which disintegrates into bloody chunks as the beast leaves, much to Nyx’s horror.]]
