** Calvin, having an irrational panic attack in the 2009 episode "Invasion", claims that "Japan is going to fall into the ocean!" Two years later, a massive tsunami wrecked the country.
** On a less serious note, the same episode has a brief bit [[LampshadeHanging lampshading]] the fact that [[NotAllowedToGrowUp Calvin has stayed six for a long time]], with the MTM remarking that the writers would "think of something soon", since it was a sci-fi show. Much later, in ''Fanfic/TheCollective'', [[spoiler:it's revealed that the floating timeline was the influence of the Chill Collective]].

* WhatAnIdiot: Calvin attempts to fix a satellite dish ''when a tornado is coming.''

He even [[LogicBomb gets a bit confused]] when faced with Jack while under orders to 'kill everyone' (Jack's a robot, and so not alive). Frankly, a scientist who was able to invent Jack would be more admired than one who could invent Shadow (and not just because people would be scared of Shadow).

* GrowingTheBeard: Starts out as RougeAnglesOfSatin and {{Plagiarism}}: [[TitleTheAdaptation The Fan Fic]] before finding an identity of its own by Season 2 and ''really'' starts getting better in Season 3 and beyond.

* MagnumOpus: The fic is perhaps the culmination of the works of Creator/{{Swing 123}} and Creator/{{Garfieldodie}}. Fitting, since it's a ContinuityCavalcade that still manages to be enjoyable without reading the earlier fics.

* AreYouSureThisIsForKids: The various references to British media in the later seasons are not exactly the sort of thing Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} would allow. "Black Rain" crosses over into full-on WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids territory.

* EvilIsSexy: Of an interesting variation, Electro the evil television is described as [[EvilMakesYouUgly wrinkly and ugly]] while the other villains appearances have been described on the show, they aren't thorough into appearance detail besides pointing out obvious details such as [[AnimeHair weird hair]] or [[MadScientist lab coats]].

** Then there's "[=SouthWest=] Pacific", which is about Calvin performing in a school play. What does the title mean, then? Well, during WorldWarII there was an [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_West_Pacific_theatre_of_World_War_II area]] entitled South West Pacific, where many important things happened. The wartime definition for this? A ''theater''.

* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: During the Father's Day episode "Dad", Calvin and Dr Brainstorm, after spending most of the episode trying to get away from their dads, eventually recognize that they really care and humor them, ending up having a good time anyway.
** During the TV Movie, "Invasion", Calvin and Hobbes have a nice moment when Hobbes shows concern about Calvin's safety, and the following reassurance is enough for Hobbes to show some backbone for a change.
** Dr. Brainstorm's small speech at the end of "Thunderstorm".
** The episode "Roughin' It".
