Some creators took the assignment straight, some made fun of it and some even [[LampshadeHanging hung lampshades]], but regardless the fans didn't take the episode well. It got nearly twice as many dislikes as likes on [=YouTube=]!

* CrossesTheLineTwice - Not Uncommon. ''AMV Hell 0'' and ''AMV Hell Divided by 0'' exist only to do so.
* CrowningMomentOfFunny - Too many to list here.
* GatewaySeries - For both the anime and music/comedy clips featured in each installment.
* HoYay - There are some clips from {{Yaoi}} series scattered throughout the ''AMV Hell'' series. The most notable of them is the "CORN!" scene.
* {{Spoiler}} - Hoo boy. If you don't want ''Manga/DeathNote'', ''Anime/CowboyBebop'', ''Anime/CodeGeass'', and possibly ''{{Berserk}}'', ''PerfectBlue'', ''Manga/OnePiece'' and ''VisualNovel/HigurashiNoNakuKoroNi'' spoiled, you should approach with caution. ** Spoilericity definitely hampered by a severe lack of context in almost all cases. This Troper has watched all the (safe for work) AMV Hells multiple times before watching some of the series (''Cowboy Bebop'' comes to mind) without any major effect on the viewing experience. The only real exceptions are the pretty blatant deaths.

** Not helping was two factors: 1) The popularity of "The Fox" spiked quickly and then collapsed, meaning the challenge was based around a meme nobody cares about anymore, and 2) ''almost every clip'' used the same thirty seconds of the song, which got old fast.
* {{Squick}} - Pretty much the entire point of ''AMV Hell 0'' and ''AMV Hell Divided By 0''. There's a reason those two come with a huge content disclaimer.
* TheWeirdAlEffect - for everyone who goes about watching an anime series and goes "hey, I recognize that footage from AMV Hell."
** Or hears a song somewhere and goes "Hey, I recognize that song from AMV Hell" Even worse when it makes you remember footage from 0 or /0.
