* Played for laughs in the third season premiere of ''WesternAnimation/TrollsTheBeatGoesOn''. Branch goes on a conspiratorial rant about how the hidden box of disguises belongs to a non-Pop troll infiltrator that needs to be rooted out. Poppy not only dismisses Branch's concerns (comically revealing that every other Pop troll has one), but she has an entire musical number that [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech encourages everyone in the village to ignore Branch]]. After all the others leave, though, she quickly admits Branch is right and that he needs to help her find the infiltrator. Branch immediately calls Poppy out for the previous song (she justifies it by noting how easily Pop trolls panic, and she "had to really sell it").

* ''WesternAnimation/BatmanUnderTheRedHood'': During a fight, Robin (then Jason Todd) brutally attacks and shatters the collarbone of one of the criminals they were apprehending when said criminal tried to shoot him. Jason and Batman argue about this later, Batman feeling that he over-stepped while Jason justifies it under the fact that the guy was a drug-dealing pimp. Though Jason does concede to Batman's point when he points out that the man is in shock and they can't get any information from him. Jason admits it was a stupid thing to do, but isn't sorry for the damage.
** Red Hood gives one to Batman at the end of the film, though with a twist. When Batman apologizes for letting [[spoiler:Jason die, Jason accuses him of being blinded by guilt and an antiquated sense of morality. However, he doesn't hold a grudge against Batman for failing to save him, but he's furious that the Joker is still alive]].
* Played with in ''WesternAnimation/TheBookOfLife''. In the timeframe of the movie, bullfighting was the biggest sport, and the great matadors were roughly equivalent to modern-day sports heroes. Manolo [[spoiler:refusing outright to kill the bull]] not only had the spectators react with dismay, the entire town turned on him, such that General Posada invited the whole town, including people he hates, to Maria's welcome back party -- except Manolo.
* In ''[[WesternAnimation/ABugsLife A Bug's Life]]'', Flik the ant, desperate to make up for his blundering, decides to ally the colony with stronger insects to drive off the villainous grasshoppers. It's only after he's brought them back and introduced them as the colony's saviors that he realizes that it was a misunderstanding, and they're actually circus performers. Rather than be exposed as a blunderer yet again, Flik wheedles the circus bugs into keeping up the charade and works behind the scenes, formulating their battle plan. When the circus bugs' original boss shows up and Flik's dishonesty is revealed, the Queen angrily orders them to leave.
-->'''Queen:''' I never thought I'd see the day when an ant would put ''himself'' before the rest of his colony! The point is, Flik, you lied to us!
** And, her daughter, Princess Atta pulls no punches when she banishes Flik:
--> '''Atta:''' You lied, Flik. You lied to her! You lied to the colony! You lied to '''me'''! And like an idiot, I believed you. (...) I want you to leave, Flik. And this time, don't come back.

* ''WesternAnimation/IsleOfDogs'':
** Ironically, it's the hero of our story (Chief) who is giving such a speech to another hero (Spots), the one they've been searching for. He calls out Spots for [[spoiler:essentially wanting to give up his duty as Atari's guard dog because he has a new duty as the leader of the Aboriginal dogs, and he is going to be a father]]. And this is after what Atari went through to find his beloved dog, something none of the Megasaki residents even bothered to try.
--->'''Chief''': You [[LiteralMetaphor son of a bitch]]! If we don't drown, I'm gonna strangle you myself. I don't care how many exploding teeth you try to spit out at me. Do you have ''any'' idea what that little pilot just went through to try to rescue you?! How DARE you!
** Once taken in by the aboriginal dog tribe, Spots asks if they're going to eat him due to hearing that they're cannibals. Their leader Gordo is offended that Spots believes it ("Who told you that dirty lie?") and tells him that [[spoiler:they ate only one dog due to starvation, and they felt guilty for even doing it]]. However, Gordo is polite enough to let Spots stay with his tribe, and [[NiceGuy Spots]] apologizes for offending the aboriginal dogs.
** On a milder note, Rex is not happy with Chief's way of doing things and calls him out several times. One notable moment is when Atari tells the dogs to sit. They all sit, but Chief doesn't.
--->'''Rex''': Chief! Sit!\\
'''Chief''': I don't sit.\\

In the original poem, he's much more understanding (possibly because he didn't have an evil, sapient burlap sack full of insects gloating about how it intended to turn him into stew and eat him).

He also points out that Bogo gave Judy, an inexperienced rookie cop, an ImpossibleTask of solving a case ''by herself'' with virtually no resources despite her more experienced co-workers struggling on the same case.
** He also gives one in the form of {{Armor Piercing Question}}s to Judy after she says her thoughts that [[spoiler:the carnivores are reverting to their savage ways]] at the conference.

What happens that Joe follows the law instead and declares James Woods is telling the truth, prompting Joe to kick Peter out. Lois calls Joe out on this bullshit, but he doesn't listen due to him holding the IdiotBall.
** Brian doesn't try to hide the fact he is willing to do anything for a drink or to sleep with a woman, but in the episode "Be Careful What You Fish For", Brian dates Emily, Stewie's preschool teacher who is far from qualified from looking after toddlers. Stewie calls Brian out for his actions and after his arm got pulled of his socket by Emily and when Stewie tries to tell Lois, Brian attempts to shut Stewie up just to be able to keep dating Emily. Only when Brian finds out Emily already has a boyfriend does he decide to call the cops on her for the preschool's conditions.
** Quagmire gives a giant one to Brian, detailing pretty much every single flaw that he had. To put all of the flaws in as few words as possible, Brian is pretentious, a complete hypocrite, dishonest, a lazy moocher and sexually promiscuous (which also leads back to the hypocrite part too).
