Tom & Jerry as a franchise had been around for many decades but eventually Warner Bros Animation decided to put the characters to use in a DirecToVideo series similar to how they did the same for Franchise/ScoobyDoo in the WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooDirectToVideoFilmSeries.

Many of the movies feature the titular cat and mouse getting into themed adventures that test their rivalry or in some cases yes teamwork. Cameos from other MGM characters are often rather common and in one so far other Creator/HannaBarbera characters. In more recent years many of these features have included mashing up Tom and Jerry into other properties. We'll leave feelings on that for the YMMV page.
