* DaylightHorror: When the Queen, transformed into an old hag, tricks Snow White to eat the poisoned apple and Snow White subsequently seemingly dies, it's in broad daylight.

* AllNaturalGemPolish: The dwarfs' mine has a huge variety of gems that come out of the earth already perfectly cut. Doc's evaluations aren't even really about their carats, but whether they "sound" good via tapping them.

* OffModel:
** Just slightly. While the Queen is dramatically running down the stairs, her cape seems to have extended to be the size of a wall-to-wall carpet.
** Some of the characters don't look quite right [[http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1809233664/tt0029583?ref_=tt_ov_i in the theatrical poster.]] For examples, the Prince has longer hair than what's depicted in the film (even looking more like a teen), and the Huntsman looks like Bluto from the ''WesternAnimation/{{Popeye}}'' cartoons.

* LongTitle: The soundtrack to the film -- the first of its kind -- was released in 1938 under the full title ''Songs from Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (with the Same Characters and Sound Effects as in the Film of That Title)''.

* ModestRoyalty: Snow White's dress is pretty simple for a princess, and she knows how to cook and keep house for the dwarfs. {{Justified}} by that her EvilStepmother forced her to wear plain clothes and work like a servant.

A [[Film/DisneyLiveActionRemakes Disney live-action remake]] is currently in production, with Creator/RachelZegler as Snow White and Creator/GalGadot as the Evil Queen.

* MurderByProxy: The [[GodSaveUsFromTheQueen evil Queen]] sends her huntsman to kill Snow White [[GreenEyedMonster because her mirror considers Snow White "fairer" than the Queen]]. However, when the Huntsman sees how beautiful and innocent the young Princess is, he cannot bring himself to kill her and tells her to run away.

* AdvertisingByAssociation: The 1993 re-release trailer promotes ''Snow White'' as "The animated motion picture that started it all," including clips of later Disney animated classics spanning ''WesternAnimation/{{Pinocchio}}'' to ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}''. The 2001 DVD received promos hailing ''Snow White'' as "The one that started it all," each one including Disney clips themed around either magical items, villains, or the Princesses.

* YoungerThanTheyLook: Creator/WaltDisney was aiming to make Snow White look to be around 14 years old, though she still seems a tad older than that.

* GoneHorriblyRight: Doc's one order to Dopey as Grumpy is being washed? "Get the soap!" Dopey struggles with delivering it without slipping out of his hands, but he finally catches the soap... [ExtremeOmnivore by swallowing it.] Dopey's victory is short-lived as the soap keeps him stuck in place while hiccupping bubbles.

* SilenceOfSadness: During Snow White's DisneyDeath, none of the dwarfs say a single word. [[EverybodyCries They all just have tears streaming down their faces]]. (Dopey doesn't normally talk anyway, but it's significant for the rest of them.)

* AdultFear: The dwarfs leave a 14-year-old girl alone in the house because they have to go to work, but then the animals rush to them and pull them as if to tell them something, and they realize that their friend is in danger because the Queen has found her.

* OutOfFocus: The Prince. Only appears in two scenes for a total screen time of around 10 minutes, has a grand total of three lines of dialog (all in the first scene), and only serves to be Snow White's love interest (thus causing the Evil Queen's jealousy to reach boiling point) and to wake Snow from her Sleeping Death. The animators found it necessary to pare his role down to the absolute minimum because they didn't know how to animate him as well as the others.

* MadScientistLaboratory: The Queen's laboratory in the dungeon.

* AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther: Grumpy has been the most vocally opposed to Snow White staying, and to her trying to boss the others around. Then he tells her gruffly to not let any strangers into the house, and she thanks him for caring with a kiss. Despite himself, Grumpy realizes he liked the kiss and waves to her. Then when the dwarfs realize Snow White is in danger, Grumpy shouts, "The Queen will kill her! We've gotta save her!" and takes charge.

* ItWillNeverCatchOn: Upon viewing the film, Leon Schlesinger (owner of rival animation studio [[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes Termite Terrace]]) remarked, "I need an animated feature like I need two assholes." He wasn't the only one -- many animation execs at the time were extremely skeptical that feature-length animation could turn a profit. Today, Disney is one of the largest and most profitable media companies on the ''planet'', and animated films are the rule more than the exception, while Schlesinger's legacy, the WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes, aren't doing quite so well.
