The show's last episode aired on June 17, 2019. In 2021, PBS, Bartlett and co. began dropping hints that the show would return in some shape or form -- a new online store with shirts in adult sizes was released, and a marathon of the show's two hour-long specials was aired July 2-4. They were even RereleasedForFree on [=YouTube=]. ** As noted above, in the CampingEpisode, a squirrel eats all of the jellybeans that Carrot had been marking their trail with. Mitchell and Jet are concerned that they are lost, but Carrot is only concerned about the squirrel's dental hygiene.

** In "Space Junk", the kids help clean up some of the junk in space after they find out about it from Sean's mom. The moral of the said episode is that knowing there's a problem should make you want to help solve it, as Sean states outright.
** In "Jet's Time Machine", there's the moral that you ''cannot'' change the past, you can only learn from it.
** From "Racing on Sunshine", we have the moral that you shouldn't let pride get the better of you because if it does, you will head for a fall.
** "Astronaut Ellen Ochoa" gives out the moral that creative play is important for children and you should enjoy life while you're still young.
** "Fact Or Fiction?" delivers the moral that you can't believe everything you see and hear, and you should do your own research to get the real facts.
** "Who Messed Up The Treehouse?" has the message across that it's everybody's responsibility to take care where they live, whether it be the treehouse or Planet Earth.

** "Astronaut Ellen Ochoa" has the moral that the best solutions can come from the most unlikely places.

* RealityEnsues:
** In "Kid-Kart Derby", Mitchell installs an ion drive in his kid kart to win the derby. It does not work. Jet lampshades this by saying that ion drives only work in the vacuum of space.
*** In the same episode, Mitchell is delighted at winning for the third year in a row, and tries to invoke a GroupieBrigade, but everyone is distracted by Jet, who is humble about not winning, and most likely risked his own life to save Mitchell's dog Cody from being hit by his kid-kart.
** In "Sean's Year in Space", Sean tries to stay in the treehouse for a year all by himself (probably with no food, as Sunspot ate all of his peanut butter sandwiches), but then comes down after being tempted by food.
** In "Holidays in Boxwood Terrace", the kids are so tightly involved in their own clique that they genuinely don't realize [[spoiler: Mitchell's loneliness]] until the end of the episode, where he explains his issue to them and they accept him.
** In general, it is shown that Carrot is not just a 100% BumblingDad who is just there for comic relief. He is just as smart as his wife and is competent at surviving in remote locations and cooking. He only acts like that because he's Bortronian
*** Dr. Bergs is silly compared to Dr. Rafferty, and Lillian is TheDitz, but those aren't their defining character traits and they are shown to be kind-hearted and talented in several areas, whether it be science (for the former) or gymnastics (for the latter), and they always have good intentions.
** This trope is why Mitchell still acts like a {{Jerkass}}, even after [[spoiler: befriending the other kids in the ChristmasEpisode]]. Healing inner wounds is not an easy or quick process. Besides, if you put on a mask for so long, chances are ''you are'' going to [[BecomingTheMask become that mask]].
** While the entire town seems to have WeirdnessCensor permanently turned on, Mitchell notices the Propulsions' strange behavior and thinks that they are aliens. This shows that if you act weird and then try to cover it up with [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial suspiciously specific denials]], people are going to notice.
** In "Sydney 2", Sydney is convinced that building a robot in her own vision as a great friend will be an easy task. Then she realizes that robots don't have feelings and that programming a robot is truly difficult.
** In "Racing on Sunshine", Mitchell is convinced that since he won 3 years in a row, he is sure to win the derby this year. This overconfidence causes him to forget to install a battery in his kid-kart, and he ends up coming in at third place.
*** In the same episode, he tries to impress [[LoveInterest Mindy]], Sean, and two unnamed background kids (one of which was one of his fans that went "Whoa, it's Mitchell!" in "Kid-Kart Derby") by boasting about how he was ready to retire, but then Cody encouraged him to race again. This does not amuse ANY of them, and they all have deadpan looks on their faces.

** While it is known that Mindy is 4 years old, it is unknown how old the other kids are. It is likely they are in their mid-to-late preteens, but it is unclear. Sean knows what payload is, but somehow does not know what asteroids are. Meanwhile, due to the inconsistency with the animation, Mitchell is either taller or the same size as Mindy, and does not know how to spell "electric engine" yet can make a replica of Saturn V and somehow managed to acquire an ion drive.

* WritersCannotDoMath:
** In "Mindy's Ice Rink", Sean says that winter will come in six months. The episode takes place in July, and since December is the start of winter, that means winter will come in five months.
** If the information given in "Jet Cooks Dinner" is accurate, one Bortronian year is two hours on Earth. If Jet is 63 Bortronian years old, he's 126 Earth hours old. That's about five days, six hours, meaning he's an Earth newborn, even though Jet claims he's the same age as Sean and Sydney in Earth years (9-11).
