Database Ranger's Power Reviews is an online video series created by Jacob Brode ("Database Ranger") which reviews episodes of the long-running Franchise/PowerRangers franchise. The pilot episode launched on October 13, 2012, with a review of the Series/PowerRangersSamurai season opening episode "The Team Unites". Since then, the series has reviewed many episodes from Samurai, Super Samurai, and Series/PowerRangersMegaforce. During the Megaforce Summer hiatus, the series has reviewed episodes from older seasons of Power Rangers, with Database Ranger and/or his co-hosts sharing his thoughts and analyses along the way.

This video series also follows the life of Database Ranger, an aspiring author who does episode reviews as a side hobby. He is frequently accompanied by Dr. K from Series/PowerRangersRPM as a technical advisor. Along the way, he begins interacting his next door neighbors: Guy (who may or may not be a spy); Mayo, who looks suspiciously a lot like Dr. K; and Mitch and Mary Morpotzner. Over time, he faces doubts about Dr. K's existence--along with possibly his own. Eventually, Dr. K leaves Database over this issue, and Guy, Mayo, and the Morpotzners fill in as substitute co-hosts. During the Spring 2013 finale, things begin looking up for Database, but they take a turn for the worse in the Summer 2013 season as he confronts a group of men in black suits who are after him for reasons yet disclosed.

The episode reviews themselves, though containing healthy doses of snark, are actually very fair, highlighting each episode's (or season's) strengths and weaknesses. Although comparisons can be made to other Franchise/PowerRangers review series, including Linkara's WebVideo/HistoryOfPowerRangers, this particular web series reviews individual episodes instead of entire seasons, though Database and/or his co-hosts do provide thoughts about the season the episode is part of.

In addition to the episode reviews, there are two spin-off series titled Ask DB and Ask Dr. K in which either Database Ranger or Dr. K answer fan questions related to Franchise/PowerRangers from all seasons. On occasion, Jacob, sometimes accompanied by co-star and fiance Marisa Gallego, posts video updates titled "Jake Says 'Hi!'". A third spin off, the Dino Charge Ranger Logs, have Database doing quick reviews of episodes of Series/PowerRangersDinoCharge as they air (Jacob and Marissa also watch the episodes live and post their reactions to Youtube).

The episode reviews themselves, though containing healthy doses of snark, are actually very fair, highlighting each episode's (or season's) strengths and weaknesses. Although comparisons can be made to other PowerRangers review series, including Linkara's HistoryOfPowerRangers, this particular web series reviews individual episodes instead of entire seasons, though Database and/or his co-hosts do provide thoughts about the season the episode is part of.

In addition to the episode reviews, there are two spin-off series titled Ask DB and Ask Dr. K in which either Database Ranger or Dr. K answer fan questions related to PowerRangers from all seasons. On occasion, Jacob, sometimes accompanied by co-star and girlfriend Marisa Gallego, posts video updates titled "Jake Says 'Hi!'".

Database Ranger's Power Reviews is an online video series created by Jacob Brode ("Database Ranger") which reviews episodes of the long-running PowerRangers Franchise/PowerRangers franchise. The pilot episode launched on October 13, 2012, with a review of the PowerRangersSamurai Series/PowerRangersSamurai season opening episode "The Team Unites". Since then, the series has reviewed many episodes from Samurai, Super Samurai, and PowerRangersMegaforce.Series/PowerRangersMegaforce.

K from PowerRangersRPM Series/PowerRangersRPM as a technical advisor.

* BerserkButton: Just as in PowerRangersRPM, never, ever say the word "spandex" around Dr. K, especially regarding the suits' material. Just don't.

** During the episode review for "Another Song and Dance" from PowerRangersZeo, Database and Mayo sing the episode's summary, just like Tommy and Tanya could only sing because of a spell cast on them by Queen Machina.
** While watching the episode "The Wild Wipeout" from PowerRangersNinjaStorm, Database constantly corrects the Morpotzners after they mistake Sensei Kanoi Watanabe for being any small, furry, rat-like animal other than a guinea pig--just like Cam had to correct Shane, Tori, and Dustin in the show.
** During the episode review for "Silence Is Golden" from PowerRangersInSpace, Database, on the run from , keeps quiet to avoid being found, mirroring the In Space episode's premise of the Rangers having to keep quiet or else they would be found by the Psycho Rangers via voice recognition.

** Marisa Gallego's performance as Dr. K is based on that of Olivia Tennet, the New Zealand actress who played that role on PowerRangersRPM.
** As Dr. K is basically carried over from PowerRangersRPM, shout-outs to that season are naturally expected: Dr. K's desk has a laptop with the red Venjix eye and an action figure of Ranger Operator Series Green. She also plays the violin on occasion and makes references to her childhood growing up in Alphabet Soup throughout the series and in Ask Dr. K.
* ShownTheirWork: Throughout the series, it becomes apparent just how knowledgeable Jacob Brode is regarding PowerRangers. In fact, he was asked to run the Trivia Contest at Power Morphicon 2 in 2010, and Power Morphicon 3 in 2012, specifically to prevent him from entering after he swept the competition at the first Power Morphicon in 2007.
* SpinOff: Ask DB and Ask Dr. K, in which either Database Ranger or Dr. K answer fan questions related to PowerRangers while in character in sixty seconds or less. Guaranteed. In K's case, she promises that she'll answer questions in sixty seconds.
