* AmbiguousDisorder: Dr. Wolf wonders out loud in "Spike Speculation" that Silver has an actual psychological issue. Much of his behavior loans itself to sociopathy (lying, ItAmusedMe, deliberate manipulation of others) and he responds to a rhetorical question of being crazy with a sincere yes. His TooKinkyToTorture behavior also lends credit.

* JustForFun/XMeetsY: Invoked -- in Silver Quill's review of an episode of ''WesternAnimation/{{Bravestarr}}'', he describes the character Thirty-Thirty as "''[[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Friendship Is Magic]]'' meets ''Film/TheExpendables''."

** In "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq960Hqw_h4 Pony Python and the Holy Grail]]", he's the BlackKnight. Yup, from ''Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail''. Naturally, he looses all four legs and wings.

* BalefulPolymorph:
** He gets his head turned into an orange by Twilight in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqoZcoVtUjk "After the Fact: Magical Ethics"]].
** In another review, he gets turned into a "reverse hippogriff" -- front of a pony and backside of an eagle. He isn't happy about it, since he greatly prefers having opposable thumbs.

* HeelFaceBrainwashing: [[invoked]] Silver Quill brings up nature of the "reforming spell" in his review of "Keep Calm and Flutter On". He calls hypocrisy on Twilight because Discord was portrayed as a villain for forcing the Mane Six to act differently, so it shouldn't be okay if ''they'' do the same.

Don't feel too bad for him. He's a horrible, if likable, person.
