** Uninhibited teleportation would solve a lot of problems as it would allow the main cast to go places quickly and prevent situations where some of the main cast must fight alone to buy time. Sans and Gaster both have this ability. The former, who is a StoryBreakerPower in himself, [[spoiler:is killed in the second episode of the season through trickery]] and the latter is left too damaged to use this ability after his fight with the BigBad. [[spoiler:When Sans ''does'' come back, him just teleporting ''once'' to get upstairs uses up most of the magic [[LivingOnBorrowedTime he has left]], leaving him not wanting to try again to get to the city.]] This forces the main cast to either use teleportation devices that are either [[ItOnlyWorksOnce one use]] or can only teleport a certain amount of people, or travel by walking, driving, or through other unorthadox methods.

** Being possessed by HATE seems to give you the power to speak these. [[Asriel talks to Asgore about how one of the prime reasons he waged war against humanity was revenge when Asriel died by refusing that, and he talks to Toriel about how she was cowardly and selfish when she left Asgore to struggle for a century managing a job meant for two people.]]

** In the original Undertale, players only gained LV after gaining enough EXP, which was only gained after ''killing'' a monster (meaning that players could beat up a monster and not get any EXP as long as they spared it in the end.) Here, a big deal is made of Frisk [[spoiler:gaining LV--not just EXP, LV--from hurting people in nonphysical, and more important nonmurderous, ways.]] It's [[HandWave handwavable]] by this being a glitched timeline, but still a clear contradiction of the canon.
** [[spoiler:An in-universe retcon occurs when Frisk switches places with Chara, causing them to be replaced with Chara and treated as if they didn't even exist by the timeline. This went so far as for Camila to edit her art to not include Frisk in it.]]

** [[DeconstructedTrope Deconstructed]] as of the third animation, as Frisk and Sans's repeated use of it is what [[NiceJobBreakingItHero allowed Chara to return in the first place]]. [[ReconstructedTrope Reconstructed]] in the fourth part, because since the timeline was cracked enough for Chara to make it back on their own, [[spoiler:Gaster was also able to return (with a little help)]].
