[[WMG:Nick turned Jackie into a vampire out of spite.]]
It seemed strange that Nick gave Jackie her wish and turned her into a vampire after she set him up as food for the flatmates. However, Nick didn’t turn Jackie out of the kindness of his heart. Nick understood that being a vampire wasn’t all that great, and even if it was what Jackie wanted Nick undoubtedly wanted her to suffer for setting him up. Maybe he also sought to stick it to Deacon — turning his familiar behind his back. Whatever Nick’s motive, he didn’t turn Jackie as a favor to her.

Lots of people like to see him as a representation as [[Creator/BelaLugosi Bela Lugosi's]] Dracula, but the only real connection to this is that of Jackie playing the role as his "Reinfield." It is much more in-line with who he is as a parody character in that he represents vampires that could be found in films during the '80's and early 90's. He is portrayed as something of a wannabe bad-boy, being the "kid" of the group before Nick is sired, something you could see as a reflection to vampires that embrace the punk-aesthetic like Spike from ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' or the Titty Twister vampires from ''Film/FromDuskTillDawn''. He is even the one to make the "spaghetti/worms" reference from ''Film/TheLostBoys'', arguably the most likely film to represent the 80's vampire (next to ''Film/FrightNight1985'', anyway), the fact that his desire to act cool fails so spectacularly being the joke.

[[WMG:Petyr turned Nick into a vampire as an “apology” for the flatmates’s behavior.]]
The sequence of the flatmates chasing Nick throughout the house is PlayedForLaughs, but there’s no denying the fact that it’s essentially a scene of vampires “playing with their food”. The trio seems to have a lot of fun terrorizing Nick, but for an ancient vampire like Petyr this may seem like rude behavior to their “guest”. Even if Nick is supposed to be their food, the “fun” is drawn out for an unnecessary amount of time.

So Petyr turned Nick into a vampire because he didn’t like how the flatmates were treating him. To an ancient vampire, sharing the gift of immortality would be seen as a proper apology to Nick.

There is no doubt that each of the main characters are meant to represent different interpretations of vampires. Viago is meant to represent the Romantic Vampires associated with ''Literature/TheVampireChronicles'' by Creator/AnneRice, Vladislav is meant to be based off of [[Creator/GaryOldman Gary Oldman's]] Dracula from ''Film/BramStokersDracula'', Petyr represents the earliest stages of interpretation found in Count Orlock from ''Film/{{Nosferatu}}'' and Nick is meant to be a TakeThat at the expense of ''Literature/{{Twilight}}''. However, people have a hard time figuring out what Deacon is meant to be.

In spite of Nandor's [[spoiler:would-be HeroicSacrifice to save Guillermo]] in Episode 7, the familiar has been showing a lot of resentment toward his master—and rather rightfully so, given that [[spoiler:it was [[ForWantOfANail because of Nandor's orders]] that Guillermo accidentally killed the Baron, something that has left him with a lot of obvious trauma]]. Meanwhile, Nadja has shown genuine care and even respect for Guillermo in Episodes 3 and 5—and she now has a new vampire, Jenna, to train. [[http://www.thefutoncritic.com/listings/20190417fx01/ The official listing for Episode 8]] says Nadja will train Jenna on "[taking] her first victim". What could happen is that Jenna will feed on Guillermo, then either she or Nadja (probably the latter, given that Jenna might not have a vial of her own blood ready yet) will make Guillermo drink vampire blood. Jenna learns how to hunt, Guillermo finally gets the one thing he always wanted, and everybody's happy. Further support for the idea: the B-plot of the episode is going to be Nandor-centric, meaning Guillermo will already be intrinsically tied to the plot.

** If nothing else, Jemaine Clement has confirmed that [[spoiler:Jenna won't be returning for Season 2 on account of Beanie Feldstein's other commitments]], so that part of the theory is {{Jossed}}.
** Jossed. [[spoiler: No one]] turns Guillermo.

[[WMG: Laszlo's leprosy is somewhere on his lower ankles/feet.]]
In the pilot episode, when Laszlo and Nadja are talking about his village being affected by leprosy & the plague, Laszlo specifically states that he also contracted leprosy, but that it "couldn't be seen," indicating that it was on a part of his body generally covered completely. In a later episode, when Sean asks everyone to take their shoes off in his house, Laszlo's response is a brusque "I'm not taking my shoes off for anyone," a very pointed reaction for such a simple request. In yet another episode, Guillermo suggests that Laszlo change his shoes when they're [[spoiler: hunting for the Sire]], and Laszlo immediately retorts with, "Why don't you get fucked?" Laszlo seems to have some kind of insecurity around his feet specifically, which suggests that the leprosy he mentioned in the pilot might have been localized only to his feet, thus why he refuses to ever take his shoes off.

[[WMG: Guillermo's Van Helsing ancestry will make Nandor like him more, not less.]]

Nandor is a former Ottoman soldier and nobleman. The historical Vlad II Dracul was infamous for his brutality in fighting against the Ottoman empire. In all likelihood, if Brom Stoker's novel was based on real events in the WWDITS universe, Nandor was probably enemies with Dracula and would be a fan of the guy who killed him.
