[[Characters/SamuraiJackAku Aku]] is one of the few beings who aren't afraid of Lord Black Hat. Due to being another immortal being MadeOfEvil, Black Hat cannot hurt him, and the only weapon that can not be welded by him.

** That sorta happened with the ''Lost Cases of Boxmore'' episode. Somewhat confirmed?

Based on the ending of the DCFDTL's orientation video, My guess is that season one of the show itself will be The Black Hat Organization Vs The Kids Next Door.

Black Hat feeds off of anger, fear, sorrow, and other negative emotions; it's how both he and his powers grow. He needs the organization so that more people become aware and scared of him. This gives another explanation as to why he's always angry at Flug: If people don't see the Black Hat organization as a threat, then he won't grow stronger!

They imply that the black hat organization killed some well-known CN heroes like Finn and Jake, uncle grandpa, the KND, and Dexter, but if you know the full context of those shows it doesn't fit in the continuity.

* For Uncle Grandpa......well that show has no continuity they can die at the end of an episode and come back the next one like Dexter's Lab, also Uncle Grandpa has a time portal in the U.G. R.V. shown in one episode so he probably used that to save himself and the other CN heroes, he does know every Cartoon Network character shown at the end of the steven universe crossover.

If there's a company responsible for creating the many different villains of an entire multiverse, wouldn't it make sense for there to be an opposing company that creates the good guys?

Personally, my bet's that it's because he's shy.

My theory is that Blackie had a romance with a New Orleans lady and had Alastor, then abandoned his family when Al was very young. Basically, the reason Al is such a powerful Hell Overlord is that he's half Black Hat.

Hunson, himself a SatanicArchetype, claims to be older than time, and he mentions having a father from who he got the Nightosphere Amulet and was raised to be chaotic evil. Black Hat is suggested to be the GreaterScopeVillain of the Cartoon Network multiverse and is an ancient force of evil. Maybe Marceline's grandfather was Black Hat? Black Hat could also be the father, or at least creator of other [[SatanicArchetype Satan stand-ins in Cartoon Network]], such as creating the [[WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack the Black Mass]] and [[Franchise/ThePowerpuffGirls HIM]], though Hunson is the only one who mentions having a father. The one SatanicArchetype exception is [[WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003 Trigon]], but that's only because [[Creator/DCComics he's technically from another multiverse]].

He only holds power over you if you fear him, which is why he mainly targets those who show fear toward him in the first place. Because he is the personification of fear he hates all things happy such as friendship and love, and is quite literally weak to it, as hinted by him ''somehow'' sensing Demencia's love for him from '''outer space'''. Emotions such as friendship and love are quite literally poisonous to him, and possibly fatal. If one were to successfully hit him with a beam of friendship or love then he would vomit out his insides.

Well, who else would give Keyboard Guitar to Julie? Black Hat gave it to Julie in an attempt to get rid of Ami and Yumi. It can also make sense for him to give it to her, as he may be the reason why the Keyboard Guitar is with Julie since Keyboard Guitar does appear to talk with Julie, who is the only one understanding it.

They can't be included for obvious reasons, but as Adult Swim is one of Cartoon Network's programming blocks, the characters from their shows are technically Cartoon Network characters. Though how Black Hat, the AnthropomorphicPersonification of evil, would interact with Rick, who sees himself as AboveGoodAndEvil and morality as a construct made by more primitive minds, would be interesting.

He then just let things play out: either Strike would be defeated by some Cartoon Network hero and he wouldn't need to personally interfere (which is what happened), or he would succeed in turning everyone into stone, at which point the original Black Hat would reveal his ruse and annihilate Strike himself.

However, she wasn't quite right in the head, to begin with, as she wanted to enter a career in super-villainy under her idol Black Hat. After signing up to join the Organization, she volunteered for (or was forced into) genetic experiments by Dr. Flug to give her superhuman abilities. The results drove her insane (or even more insane than she already was), and also amplified her ridiculous admiration for her demonic boss.

** I personally view Black Hat as being like [[VideoGame/BioShock1 Frank Fontaine]]: undeniably powerful, but far from invincible. Like Black Hat, Fontaine not only ran a criminal enterprise (smuggling rings, bio-augmentation, and recruitment facilities for his personal army of super-powered mutants) but [[TheDreaded cultivated a reputation for himself as a scary, unstoppable badass]] to intimidate enemies and make his followers less likely to betray him. While ruthless and sadistic [[spoiler: and one hell of a FinalBoss]], he was nothing more than a con man underneath all the "flimflam and humbug." Black Hat may very well be the same: as powerful as he's shown to be, he's most likely exaggerating how powerful he really is so that heroes will be unwilling to stand against him and villains will be more willing (out of either fear or admiration) to buy his products or join his organization. Sooner or later, someone will find out that the seemingly InvincibleVillain is not infallible.

While he most likely will have a grudge against them for his own capture, he figures they would be the only ones to [[spoiler: free Penumbra from Miss Heed's control.]]

And it wasn't just a defeat, it was a CurbStompBattle the likes of which are in the running for page image. And who did it? [[spoiler: [[WesternAnimation/LeagueOfSuperEvil The L.O.S.E]]. [[RuleOfFunny Somehow]]]]

Comparisons have been made due to what our antagonistic protagonist line-up consists of for the latter and some of the Grim Adventures have shown other cartoons on the network aren't too far away (take the fact that the ''KidsNextDoor'' showed up more than once for example). Perhaps Black Hat is Nergal's cousin or related to him in some other way and as far as I know, there's no limit to how many villain teams with a bear member can exist on one channel's properties.

* It's been greenlit for more shorts, a pilot and a comic series, so we're getting there!

When it comes to shorts you can get away with just the main four because it's more-or-less quick comedy but if you want to have at least eleven minutes of entertainment you might need to add more to the picture. This individual would likely be a hero that the group tries to capture, use gadgets, etc. on for episode plots. Some bonus points will be awarded if this happens and the troublesome hero:
* Is the next door neighbor

* Is either super oblivious or super aware to the fact they live next door to some villains

Either Black Hat will be turned into him by some freak accident (my favorite), or he'll show up as a cousin or brother. The crew end up liking the change, or the relative, but soon realize that StatusQuoIsGod and [[WeWantOurJerkBack reluctantly try to get Black Hat back to normal]]. Or, if the relative, kick him out or have him leave willingly.

Think about it: He has a variety of nightmarish abilities including [[SizeShifter changing his size]] and opening portals to the underworld, [[CardCarryingVillain he's proud of being a monster]], [[TheDreaded he's claimed to be feared by all]] and he's the GreaterScopeVillain to virtually every villain in the network's history, even heavy hitters like Aku and Vilgax. Not to mention, [[DealWithTheDevil deals with him]] apparently use souls as payment.
* I more believe him to be an [[TheAntiGod Angra]] [[UsefulNotes/{{Zoroastrianism}} Manyiu]] {{Expy}} rather than a SatanicArchetype. Due to his InvincibleVillain status and StupidEvil ForTheEvulz behavior, as well as his strong association with [[DarkIsEvil darkness]] and [[ChaosIsEvil chaos]] in adition to the above.

Look at one of Demencia's ears. Also notice she can crawl up walls like a reptile.

They are "long black beings" and though they're usually described as a tall spindly humanoids, they're sometimes said to slither like a snake or *melt into the form of a shadow*.

As previously mentioned, Black Hat isn't a human, alien or animal and one episode shows a villain from centuries ago wearing the exact same hat. So my theory is that Black Hat is actually a sentient evil hat with magic powers and his humanoid form is either an avatar the hat made or some poor fool [[DemonicPossession being controlled]] by it

There's no doubt that Black Hat has the body/world count he claims. However, whether weakened in a previous encounter with a superhero or born pure evil but imperfect, Black Hat doesn't have the ability to take over the world or even mind-warp other villains into buying from him. Whether the souls or profits from other villains make him more powerful or not is anyone's guess, but him touting his superiority is proof of him being in denial. This would also explain why he bothers putting up with Flug and Demencia; he's not toying around with them for sick villain-y fun, he legit needs their help to make his company work.
* While Black Hat is probably indeed a fearsome and dangerous villain in his own right, he's also a huge {{narcissist}} who repeatedly claims he is the greatest evil being in existence. So it would not be surprising if he turns out to be an UnreliableNarrator who's prone to exaggerating his own feats and denying his weaknesses. After all, if he's such a great evil mastermind as he claims to be, then why is he so reliant on semi-competent foolish minions like Flug and Demencia to do most of his dirty work for him?

This is because they are anomalies within the Cartoon Network timeline ans thet already have appeared in the Samurai Jack Orientation video

The lady's whole schtick is forcing people to do things via mind control gas, and what's worse is an Instagram post implies she does this with ''her own fans'' (their eyes glow faintly pink as they line up to see her). If she is revealed to be 100% evil, then by the end of the episode she'll either make everyone forget or else Black Hat Org. will be the only ones who know, and nobody will want to listen to them.

[[WMG:Riding off of the above theory, this defeat will be dealt to him by none other than [[WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog COURAGE! The Cowardly Dog!]] What’s more; it will act as the true finale of Courage’s show.]]

By this point, Black Hat will be waiting back at the building, knowing that Courage will chase after him. That said, he didn’t expect so many of his own fellow villains from Courage’s home to help him invade the building. While relatively shocked at this sudden betrayal, his anger and fury would help him keep a upper edge, albeit still getting bruised and beaten.

But than, a HopeSpot for Black Hat; the villains that have harassed Courage throughout the year surround him, ready to pound him...[[DefeatEqualsFriendship before cheering him for helping them get their souls back, and helping him get rid of the real black hat once and for all; sending the hat back to outer space and completely trash Black Hat’s building.]] This will lead into Season 2, with the black hat now having to find a new owner, only having Flug, 5.0.5. and Demencia for help with this new task.

Meanwhile, [[HeelFaceTurn it’s shown that Courage got a lot of money from the very same villains that once antagonized him as thanks for saving their souls, and promises of them leaving him alone.]] Deciding to split this newfound wealth with his owners, they decide to relocate and move to a actually nice part of town, perhaps with all the villains waving goodbye to them as they drive off, with their new home looking a lot nicer with a friendlier neighborhood. Perhaps the final scene could even be a recreation of [[https://youtu.be/z6rEmhEYDbE this song, with the changes being Eustace and Muriel looking the same as they did in their own series, and with Eustace being nicer to Courage, maybe even calling him a kind dog.]]

In spite of all his power, why does Black Hat seemingly rely more on scaring or intimidation when he wants something done? Because he can't live up to his own boasting and he knows it. So instead, he makes himself as scary as possible in order to make everyone think he can live up too it.

Maybe Planet Fusion and the glitch blob were created by Black Hat in his attempts to conquer the CN multiverse. Or just products of the Black Hat Organization and unleashed them to shoot the commercials for them. Alternatively, either one could be his true form, hence why both of them are so powerful.

As for him knowing he's in a cartoon, because he's aware that he's a cartoon character who never effects ''true'' canon (despite all the cameos), he knows how impossible it is to escape. His second clone in the OK K.O. Nexus special is the Black Hat we're watching now, who managed to breach into CN City. This explains all the Cartoon Network character appearances: he's still in the same world of CN City, but in an alternate timeline to it that's not even canon to the other shows.

They were born at the same time and into a family of well known superheroes, but for some reason, only Goldheart ended up developing superpowers while Flug didn’t and turned to science instead. However, his family and others looked down on and ignored him and his inventions while praising his brother as the “golden child” of his family who apparently got everything he didn’t, including his own love interest. This is why Flug gets emotional during the Townsville orientation video while he listening the origin story of Mojo Jojo: it’s basically an exact mirrored version of his own childhood and family experience. Eventually, Flug’s fury at his twin brother getting blatant favoritism over him turned him to a life of Villainy, and he began to wear a paper bag over his head because even looking at his own face just ended up reminding him of all the pain that he had endured.
