That's why he's so insistent that no one goes out too far- he knows what she'll do to anyone who gets too close. What he said in Nix was that "there was nothing waiting for them but a cold void", which, FromACertainPointOfView (namely, that Black Hole pretty much ''embodies'' the void in both a literal and metaphorical sense), is correct.

If she and Sun ever meet, it'll be a pretty dramatic NotSoDifferent argument to throw at him- at the very least, finding that out would throw him off balance and leave him doubting himself/fearing what he might be becoming.

It's still forming, which is why it doesn't have a consistent head-section besides the glowy stuff yet.

Both SCP-1548 and Black Hole take a particular interest in communicating with Earth, SCP-1548 through Morse Code and Black Hole through telepathy. Maybe Black Hole is SCP-1548 in the distant future; after humanity no longer lives on Earth to be communicated with, she speaks to Earth directly.

As for why he pretty much told Mars and co to shut up and deal with it when they were pointing out that she was watching them... Either he didn't want to believe that she'd make an aggressive move instead of waiting for someone to wander out after all this time, or he didn't trust himself to be able to continue the discussion without doing something he'd regret, and going to just cut it off no matter what Mars was going to say.

Stars (or at least Sun) are older than their planets, and by WordOfGod teach them to talk. Given that they they're apparently born knowing how, it seems most likely that it's genetic, and it's probably not limited just not knowledge of language. If stars are born before planets, and at least some have no other stars around and are completely alone until the planets form (i.e., Sun), it makes sense that they're born with enough general knowledge to keep them alive until they're fully grown.

* With Virginis also trying to stop his planets from going into the void, this might be star thing rather than a thing about Sun specifically. Perhaps all stars have an instinct warning to stay out of there?

They went into the void, found her, and were sucked into her-- which, to anyone watching, looked like an ''extremely'' gruesome death.
* It that's true, then they might actually be NotQuiteDead and/or the other people Pluto could hear talking to Black Hole in Nix. Who knows, maybe we'll get to hear what Virginis (and B, if she existed then) were like back then. Virginis sounds like he must've been pretty different, if he was willing to ''beg'' for them not to go instead of ''forcing'' them not to go.

He never actually says that there were other ''planets'', just that there were other people for him to talk to. Not even talk ''with'', necessarily, so he might have just been talking at them without expecting a reply.

Besides, there's something darkly funny in the thought of B being a completely different species from his old friends and Virginis not having noticed at all.

We never saw the bodies, and Ceres proved that not everything that goes into the void ''dies''... [[CameBackWrong necessarily.]] They could still be alive after being eaten by Black Hole, just warped the way Ceres was.

Alternatively, they made it through safely and joined another planetary system, or are wandering around on their own (either lost or reluctant to come back). We don't know if Virginis himself saw them die, after all-- he could just have assumed that if they never came back then they must be dead.

We know that Black Hole likes to talk to people in bad situations, and B would probably jump at the chance to interact with someone besides [[DomesticAbuser Virginis]], especially with how good Black Hole is at seeming kind.

She'll persuade B to come out and join her in the void, possibly sending Pluto or another dwarf planet to distract Virginis long enough for B to make a run for it: it's only when she reaches Black Hole that she'll realize she traded one problem for [[HumanoidAbomination another]].
