The [[https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/playtonic/yooka-laylee-a-3d-platformer-rare-vival campaign was launched]] on May 1, 2015, reaching its target goal (and, in fact, it exceeding it) on the same day. On June 7, 2019, a new TwoAndAHalfD installment, entitled ''VideoGame/YookaLayleeAndTheImpossibleLair'' (this time evoking the aforementioned ''Donkey Kong Country'' series), was announced. "Sonar Shot" is a sonic screech that can stun enemies or wake up totems to reveal invisible objects. "Sonar Splosion" is a sonic burst attack that can wipe out groups of enemies at once. "Sonar Shield" has her create a forcefield of sonic energy that makes her and Yooka invulnerable.

* GuideDangIt: Some of the pagies can be really tricky to get. One common thing people get stuck on the Hot Tub puzzle in Glitterglaze Glacier: The hot tub complains about not having any bubbles and that he has a gas problem. There's nothing in the room, nothing related to him in the palace inside that one room, and the ability to create a giant bubble inside the hot tub does nothing either. What you're supposed to do is [[spoiler:only ''half press'' the bubble button to leave a bunch of bubbles in the tub.]]
