* CrapsackWorld: Besides the Protector's Enclave, any other part of Neverwinter and surroundings has it ''very'' rough. The town's other districts are overrun by orcs, anarchists, zombies and [[EldritchAbomination Eldritch Abominations]], and if you go just outside town the few humans, elves and dwarves still standing are barely holding their ground against demons, necromancers, giants, archons and the occasional dragon.

* CameraScrew: A few of the control powers have this effect, whether it is intentional or not. Thankfully, very few enemies have these sorts of powers.

* PlayerCreationSharing: Like ''VideoGame/StarTrekOnline'', ''Neverwinter'' formerly each had an in-game Level Editor called the Foundry, that allowed players to build missions that could then be played with {{Player Character}}s in the game proper. Unfortunately, after its original coders left Creator/CrypticStudios, the Foundry fell by the wayside and began suffering escalating {{game breaking bug}}s until Cryptic finally shut the system down in both games in 2019.

''Neverwinter'' is an {{MMORPG}} developed by Cryptic Studios using the same engine as their previous title ''VideoGame/StarTrekOnline'', and published by Perfect World Entertainment. The game is set in the eponymous city of Neverwinter in the TabletopGame/ForgottenRealms universe. Considered by Creator/{{Atari}} to be the continuation of the ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights'' series, it is the first game in the series to be based on the ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons'' [=4th=] Edition ruleset. (The first and second ''NWN'' games used the 3 and 3.5 editions, respectively.)
