Your Goldeneye "shield" power can protect you from one or two shots of it, however the same goes for the aforementioned "elite forces" as they too come equipped with a similar shield as well, and once said shield is down, well... it '''disintegrates''' you into a blue flash of particles once it hits, regardless of difficulty.
