During the 2020 Halloween event he seemed like a decent guy towards the Adapter but as the situation of the event progresses he begins to antagonize the other participants and later became fixated on the Adapter's secret of defeating Carroll. Once his cover is blown he's revealed to be obsessed with the Adapter and tries to force their secret by force. Elsie (a fellow Academic) is dismayed to find that out and Mobius admits that while she knew the Adapter would attract unwanted attention, she never suspected Kirchhoff to be one of them.
