Then again, the decision is justified, as the Greeks didn't care much for the many glaring mistakes to their own mythology, even if the rest of the movie was pretty decent. It's kind of similar to how a lot of American historians hated ''Disney/{{Pocahontas}}'' (even though that didn't get banned; it just got slammed with a lot of criticism) while other countries liked it well enough.

* [[AmericansHateTingle Greeks Hate Hercules]]: While the rest of the world's audiences and critics liked the movie well enough (though, of course, not to the extent of ''Disney/TheLionKing'' and the earlier Renaissance films), The Greeks ''despised'' this movie, even denying the film a premiere in Greece. Then again, they know more about their mythology than any other, so the inaccuracies are all the more damning to them than just simply annoying little smudges on an otherwise good narrative.
** It's kind of similar to how a lot of American historians hated ''Disney/{{Pocahontas}}'' while other countries liked it well enough.

** The best part? Come time for RecycledTheSeries, Hades is ''still'' James Woods. And whenever Hades shows up in ''HouseOfMouse'' it's James Woods (well, except for "House of Villains", where he has all of two singing lines, so RobPaulsen fills in). And in the ''KingdomHearts'' series it's James Woods again (well, except for ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsChainOfMemories'' and ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsCoded'', where his only lines are BossBanter because of technical limitations, so archival clips of James Woods fill in). He did say something about how he enjoyed playing the part so much that he would always do it if asked, and [[SoMyKidsCanWatch he also does it for his kids]].

** Galatea appeared in one episode, voiced by JenniferAniston.

** Panic is MaxHeadroom (or for the younger set, [[Series/{{Alice|2009}} the White Knight]] and [[{{Supernatural}} Pestilence]].)
